So...I can't believe it's time for Hope You Can Cling To already! It really is my favorite time of the card making year. It's definitely one of my favorite events at Splitcoast. To see the community pull together is just an amazing thing to be a part of. Thank you! Thank you!
When I was thinking about my challenge, I kept thinking about how much courage and strength it takes to face cancer and cancer treatments, as a patient or as a loved one. Courage. Strength.
Then I started thinking about the color of mood and action. What is the color of courage? And, I almost immediately landed here. Red is the color of determination, strength, courage and love. Orange combines the energy of red and the happiness of yellow. It is the color of encouragement and determination.
My challenge to you is to create a card that shares courage and strength with either the color red or orange or a mixture of both. (Remember, no double-dipping, you can only enter each card in one HYCCT challenge...sorry!)
I can't wait to see your beautiful cards!

Great challenge Lori, I have a little card which I will load in the coming days... in the mean time a little shout out to all Australian's... some of you may also like to send your cards to a home based organisation... or split them between the two...

Lori, I really LOVE your choice for our second challenge. It gave me a chance to honor my sis. She was so courageous and I know she is like so many strong ladies who are fighting the battle. A shout out to my Mom, Aunt Marie and sister Nancy who are all S U R V I V O R S!! May that list continue to grow. I admit I had to go back and put a little orange in there as I forgot but it's in there!
I just happened to have a pinwheel I made last weekend laying on my craft table. I mounted it on some burnt orange. It is hard to see in the picture, but the polka dot paper is actually a faded looking red and some of the flowers are red and orange.
