Hi,
If you have a Tuesday Morning near you and want a Big Kick, next Tuesday they go on sale for $29.99. I don't think I've ever seen them priced so low anywhere.

Thank you. I love my Cuttlebug, but for that price, I would certainly pick up a Big Kick. I know from past experience they sell out of stuff fast, so maybe I can get there when the doors open. Ha! Well, I will try anyway.

I saw the ad, and I'm trying to convince myself that I don't need it. I already have the old-style red and white one and it still works just fine - but I love the look of the blue one in the ad. I keep coming back to, mine is over 5 years old and I use it a lot; the platform has lost its screws - if I don't buy this one, will mine suddenly break and I'll be really cheesed off that I didn't get one cheap when I had the chance?
I'm a frugal shopper and bought mine for 50% with a coupon at one of the bib box stores. But, its pink and I prefer blue. I won't buy another just for color, but $30 is way better than 1/2 price. It didn't state that they'd have any dies, and I'd go for those if they were as deeply discounted.

Wow that would be a great buy. How did you find out about it?
I usually get the Tues Morning flyer, but this time I either didn't see it, or it got thrown away by my hubby (accidentally, right?). Ha!
Anyhow wanted to say you can call your local Tues Morning store and ask if they are going to have the Big Kick on sale. I just did, and mine said YES, starting at 9:00 am on Sunday.
I know from past experience that you need to be there when the doors open for items like this.
PS If you don't shop Tues Morning often, the website says hours are 10 am to 7 pm Mon thru Sat, and Sun from 12 noon to 7 pm.
When a sale starts on Sunday, they open at 9 am.

I found the sizzix Vintaj on clearance at Michaels a few months ago for $24.97 so I bought it as a back up! Its the same thing just a vintage look ...and so cute. I am going to help my niece with wedding invitations so it will be nice to have the second one to help things go faster.

You got such a good deal, Kathy. I agree it's good to have a back up. That's why I'm going to try to get the Big Kick on sale.
My Cuttlebug does everything I need it to do, but it is about 5 years old. I would hate to be in the middle of something very important and have it poop out on me. Also, I don't really like the style of the newer Cuttlebug models. They seem to have a shorter platform to lay the plates on.

I intend to emboss and die cut for a long time and would hate to not have a machine. If I could get the wider big shot (pro) around here somewhere I would. I like the wider base.
Oh wow - I've heard a lot of you guys discussing Tuesday Morning and, not sure why, but I assumed they were not in my part of the country....well I just checked it out there is a store 3.2 miles from my house - AWESOME !! I don't need the Big Kick but I DO need to go to this store and see what it's all about - it sounds like my kind of place

Lucky you. I tried to find one and none within 250 miles from me!

We have about 5 locations in Oklahoma City. They are fun places to shop.
They have really great and unusual toys that you can't find at Target and Toys R Us. I have grandkids and I always try to find stuff there at Christmas. They have a lot of the European wooden toys like they have in the pricey toy catalogs, but at reasonable prices.
They also have a great cook wear section, with lots of name brands. And they are known for luxury bedding and towels, too. Lots of crystal gift items. I always go there to buy wedding gifts.
Be prepared to stay a while and look. The shelves are usually stocked to the ceiling when they have a sale (and even when they don't, lol.)

I did find a hobby lobby about 50 miles away! And in the direction we are going on the 12 th!
Kathy, before your trip, be sure to go online to Hobbylobby.com and print out a couple of coupons. One for you to use, and you can hand something to your hubby to buy and use a coupon, too.
And a couple more, for the trip back!
You will have fun in the store for sure!

Hey Big Kick/Big Shot owners - Before I get up in the middle of the night on Sunday (at 9:00 am. lol) to go to Tuesday Morning to try to get one of the Big Kicks, I have a question.
Is the multi-purpose platform for these machines complicated to use? I am so used to using my Cuttlebug with its A, B and C plates that I could do it in my sleep.

No not hard at all. My older Big Shot which I bought about two years ago, has tabs that you flip, depending on the thickness of whatever you are cutting. The newer ones have an extended platform, which is extended (longer) of course. For thin dies I use platform, and then I have a solo thin die adaptor, clear plate, die, paper, clear plate. For embossing folders it's just platform, clear plate, embossing folder with paper inside, clear plate. I love my Big Shot, it seems so much sturdier than anything I've tried before, but the Vintaj is just like the Big Kick and works the same.
Just 'read' the pictures on the different tabs of the Multi-purpose platform. I bought a CB as my first BIG papercrafting tool and it has gotten lots of use. For Christmas 5 yrs ago my DD & DSIL gave me a Big Shot because it was on my Wish List. I really like that it is heavier and more sturdy. Have used it for all kinds of dies from many companies and it cuts like a champ. Can't use the Sizzix BS Pro or Spellbinder Grand dies but that's okay with me since it make almost exclusively cards.
Remember to old slogan-'Try it, you'll like it!' You can be Mikey.

Wow that was a great deal! I told a couple of my customers cause this deal at tues. Morn. Is just too good. I mean geeze, even if they had a workshop with enough sales to earn one item at 50% off, they would pay $50.00. These are brand new stampers and need everything. Yeah,nI know some salesman I am! Lol

But hopefully they will want to buy lots of dies, framelits, and folders.

Like Bugga said, once they have their Big Shot, they will NEED dies and folders.
Besides, I have a demo that does things like this, and it just makes me trust her more - and want to order more from here because I never feel like she's handing me a line just to increase her sales.

So being the good girl might work in my favor? I like that

I bought my Big Shot Pro from JoAnns on a Black Friday sale. I got it for a really good price. If you don't want to use a CC online, you can buy JoAnn gift cards and use them. I think you may also be able to order by phone.;)

I got one at our Tuesday Morning this afternoon. I went to ask at what time they were putting them out because a lady on Thursday said they might put them out Saturday night. The lady today said she didn't want me to have to come all the way back for one so I got it.
If your store doesn't have one.. take your flyer to another craft store and see if they'll price match it. JoAnn's which is located right next door to Tuesday Morning has the same exact item for $119.99. might be worth a shot.

My store only had 6 - there was a big sign that said Limit One.
There were eight of us in line when the door opened. Two of the ladies wanted bar stools, lol. We other six got the machines! Yea!
They had a pretty good selection of embossing folders and dies, but I was a good girl and just got the Big Kick. I already have quite a supply of folders and dies. When I left the store, they were all nearly gone.
At Tuesday Morning, if ya snooze, ya lose.
And yes, thanks to OP for posting this as I didn't get my flyer this time either.

There were 7 at my Tuesday Morning in MN. I had to actually explain to a worker what the machine could do. Thank you to the OP--I am so happy I was able to pick one up.
So happy - it looked like my store only had 3, but no limit signs so I was able to get 1 for myself and 1 for my mom. No lines, no crowds, awesome. Not many dies or folders, but I did get a few of those, too. (I'm incorrigible.)
Well, this post is about Tuesday Morning and not the Big Shot lol but I did get to Tuesday Morning today - my first time - and ohhh myyyyyyy. This is gonna be one of my favorite stores. I found things that were exactly what I have been looking for which I have not been able to find anywhere - including Internet - and at incredible prices and quality - AWESOME! Got quite a varied spectrum of items ::I'm in love::......

I told you! Glad you found some neat stuff. And you are right, they have things there that I don't ever see in other stores.
A little history for you: When the stores first started, years ago, they were called Tuesday Morning because that is the day they opened and had their super sale. It lasted for a couple of weeks, and then the store actually closed its doors for a time, restocked, and then opened again on another Tuesday morning. While they were closed, you could peek in the window and see people putting things on the shelf, but the sign on the door said closed until _____, the next Tuesday that they would be open.
Now they are open for shopping all the time, but still have their special "Sales" when the flyers go out.
When I first shopped there years ago, they only had one location in Oklahoma City, in a defunct strip mall. It was a shabby warehouse, bare bones place, with rough wooden shelving and most of the merchandise was still in cartons on the shelf. But it was good stuff, and the prices were great and everyone was very excited every time they opened for another sale.

I'm the OP and have been offline a few days. I get the flyers in the mail, but I also signed up through their web site. Tuesday Morning was also selling online until a couple of months ago, but stopped.
I wonder if the local craft stores will price match? I think you could probably print out the ad from their web site and give it a try.

I neglected to say CONGRATS! to all of you that scored such a great deal on the BS! Now you can join the rest of us in drooling over all the great dies and spending our hard earned dollars on them! Then spend hours trying to figure out the best way to organize and store them. And that's probably before we get to use them!!!
