This is such a wonderful cause. It is one of the most emotionally charged medical situations imaginable. I have such respect and admiration for everyone involved in a transplant situation. I have 8 ready to go and will be working on more for this month.
I am SO very glad that I found this area! I am always in need to find different places that are happy to enjoy what I love doing! This makes my heart happy!

In the Spring of 1978 my husband suffered an industrial accident requiring three skin grafts over the course of the summer. It was an amazing thing to witness the care he received from the medical staff at the Clinton County Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, OH. And it was a long, long summer for us. The commute wasn't that bad - only forty miles - but driving it every day over the course of the summer was grueling. I really wish there had been a house available for overnight stays like the one we are sponsoring this month. I'll definitely be sending as many cards as I can make.
My condolences on the loss of Elaine.Transplant nurses are a special breed. I will always remember their dedication and kindness.

Yes the transplant nurses are special gals and guys. I hope your husband is fully recovered from his accident. If you check out RHTH you will see pictures of some of the people that have stayed there. And after some extended stays become like family.
The thoughtfulness of this group is heart warming.
As usual, a wonderful cause! I just love participating in Cards for a Cause and they never fail to touch me. I've been working each weekend to make a few and will be able to get a good supply off, hopefully, next weekend. Will post when I do.
{hugs}
Maggie

Arlee, you do not have to post it here, but can. Let me see if I can help. When you click onto leave a comment, you will click on the "paper clip" then click on "choose file" then "upload" and it will appear in the comment section. Hit "submit reply", you will not see your card until it appears in the thread...hth.

Just wanted to share a couple of thank you cards that I made to go along with a few others that I already had to make an even 10 cards going out postal tomorrow. Hope they will come in handy for someone.
Hi there! Wish I had more to send, but with work/travel am only able to get fifteen cards out this week. Will definitely keep this group in mind for future contributions.
Thanks so much for this wonderful opportunity!

Just packaged up 43 cards that will go out on Saturday! Slim month this time because I was trying to get my Operation Write Home cards done in time for the Christmas deadline. Sent them 181 cards last Saturday. Fun, fun, fun!
