I've been trying to find some amazing wedding card ideas to CASE, and I'll admit right off the bat it's for purely selfish reasons.
I need to send a wedding card to someone who's mother was talking to me a few months ago and said, "Rubber stamping? People still DO that?!!" and laughed and laughed and laughed. I shouldn't have let it bug me, but it totally did.
Now I want to send an over the top, FABULOUS wedding card - not even so much to congratulate the happy couple as to just BLOW the mother AWAY by its awesomeness - something that makes the cheaply printed wedding invitations they mailed out pale in comparison.
Yes that was the one I was talking about. Go to the gallery and type in Wedding under search on the left-hand side. There are some stunningly beautiful cards. I'm sure anything you make for the bride to be will be outstanding. Remember to post it so we can enjoy too. I hope you get the last laugh.
You go girl!!! I have some friends who are more well off than us but they are my best customers when it comes to handmade anything. People know I make cards and ask for them all the time. Sometimes you just have to allow for ignorance and stamp on. ;)
LOVE Your card. That should shut the Old girl up!!!!
Isn't it funny how a snide remark can stick in your mind... I STILL think about a remark made to me in the early 70's. I did ceramics back then and made a Co-worker (haven't seen her since I quit that job) a Snow Man cookie plate for our Christmas exchange. (For those of you that did ceramics It was under glazed so it was labor intensive) and her response was "Oh handmade Ceramics...a nice cheap gift" The way she said did not indicate she thought the gift was nice but instead nice & cheap KWIM... She shoved the gift aside She went on to OOOH and Ahhh over the 3.00 hand lotions, soaps and note pad sets everyone else received. Back then my husband and I were starting out and I didn't have alot of money so I didn't make myself one... So after the gift exchange was over I asked her if she'd like the gift I had received instead and she jumped at the 3 pack of Bonnie Bell Lip gloss I offered. Every Year at Christmas I bring out that darling snowman and smile!!!

...... now that is rude!
And I believe you got the better deal!
To goodlicorice- I don't like the files that you have to join in order to get the templates. I went to Lynn Pratts and that is what I had to do. It also had downloads everywhere to get you to click the wrong one. Is there another way to do this???
Love that card! I too get people that tell me "oh people still make cards?" all the time. Anybody can pick out a $1 card at walmart but I like to actually put thought and care into what I give others.
You did it!!! Absolutely stunningly gorgeous!!! I love your evilness....lol!! People can be so rude. We've seen the card....now I'd like to hear the feedback!!!

...sure its got a catchy beat, but can you stamp to it?
life is something that happens only when you run out of cardstock

I'm sorry, I don't know. I didn't actually download it, I was just looking at the idea.

Beautiful! I have a card group and we have a saying, "Only give your cards you have spent a lot of effort on... To card worthy people!" I have people who save everything's I have ever made them!
