Date : Saturday, October 12 Time : 10:00 AM Place :Folsom: Once I close the list I will send out the address. Fee : None: Food: Potluck RSVP : The cut-off date for sign up will be October 1.
It will then be posted how many kits are to be made.
We have room for 18 people.
**Each person attending will bring at least one sample of a completed card project and kits of the sample to complete.
**This swap is assembly style, which means that each kit should be in some type of baggie, be pre-cut, pre-stamped, ribbon cut, etc. The baggies should be placed in a shoebox or basket to be brought to the swap.
**Envelopes are not required unless card is non-standard size.
The number of kits to be brought will be determined after the close of the sign-up period. Only one card/project is required; however, it is always nice to have a second project, especially if the group is small. It is entirely up to you.
Tool Kits : Please bring a basic tool kit which will include: scissors, bone folder, adhesive, glue dots, pops ups or foam tape. It may also include any other tool that might be needed or useful. If a particular tool or item is needed for your card/project, please indicate when signing up or sometime before the swap. You may post a comment on the thread informing the people signed up what the need will be.
The swap will begin promptly at 10:00 a.m.
and should go until 2 pm or whenever we are done. We will break for lunch. I will provide all drinks and paper products, as well as Coffee and a breakfast treat.
Haven't decided what to bring yet. I'll go through my Pinterest file and see if I can find a recipe under 'Recipes to Try'. I've got a bunch that I want to try out. Bringing a new recipe to a luck is safe because if it doesn't turn out there are plenty of other dishes to choose from LOL!
Hi Pauline,
I'm not sure whether I'll be joining this time but wanted to sub this thread.
I'll let you know when I figure things out.
Hope to see you guys soon!
Pauline,
I'll bring some sort of side dish. I have too many recipes I haven't tried yet, so it will be something I haven't made before and you're all gonna be test subjects!! LOL!
Excellent idea, Linda. My mom's advice to me as a newlywed was to try new recipes out on company; they'll be too polite not to eat it! That did not work the time I used a cup of dehydrated onions in place of a cup of diced onions however
Hey all, its been forever! I should be able to make it on the 12th. Not sure what I will bring yet. I will have to look for something yummy. Looking forward to seeing everyone!
Hi Pauline, will we be at your house -- is there a microwave available to use?
Also, is Normalee different from Norma on the list -- I see both are bringing dessert and wondered if they're the same person.
See you soon!
Since we don't always get notified of responses, I'll step in and say that the swap is at Pauline's and I'm 99.9% sure there will be a microwave available.
Can't answer the duplicate Norma question with certainty (thinking there is only one, though).

Thanks for catching that - yep, one Norma
Yes, microwave available and if I have 2 ovens for anything that else that needs warming
Good to see a nice group of ladies coming to the swap. I have no idea what I am doing...too busy with sewing projects. I'll figure out something next week...I'm always last minute anyway...lol
Hi there, now that the list is closed, is there anything you would prefer me to bring Pauline? Side dish? Rolls or bread? Appetizers? Lol I never can decide so I figure if there is something you think we are lacking I can fill in =)
Y'all have no idea how enticing this event sounds to me. I adore shoebox swaps, and have been in "need" of a reason to get back out to my cousin's house for a visit!! Alas, I've spotted this even waaaaaay tooooo late for everything to work out here .... this time.
I just KNOW you'll have a fabby time with delightful projects too. I'll just have to send my cyber-smiles along this time.

Lisa W.
Lisa - we're pretty evenly mixed so it's hard to decide on what you should bring. Perhaps a dessert or mid-morning snack? Whatever you decide will be just peachy
TexasGrammy - we'll miss you but perhaps we'll see you soon.
I finally finished my packets. Sheesh, I just couldn't get the Christmas mojo working. I'm just now decorating for Halloween and the thought of Christmas was almost scary!!
No!!! I'm not ready!!! I couldn't decide what to make. I made several attempts and finally decided on one last night. Just not in the Christmas mood yet, I guess. But with time running short, I didn't take the time to clean up each mess from each attempt. UUGGGHHH!!! You should see my stamp room! Very scary!! I'm gonna have to keep the door shut....
See you all Saturday! I may have to cut out early as I'm taking my daughter shopping for her birthday and she chose the Vacaville outlets. But I didn't want to miss the swap again.
I am just now starting on my kits. So don't feel bad, Linda. Mine are going to super simple...take a couple of minutes to put together... See you all Saturday!
