Mandatory Shoebox (Table) Project Bring your idea and all the supplies (precut but not prestamped or prepunched) needed for EVERYONE to make your project the day of the event. Quality products are mandatory. There are several threads that discuss quality of swaps. Please read them if you are unsure. ALL the shoebox projects will be set out in the morning. You will proceed "round robin" to each of them and do ALL PROJECTS. YOU will move, YOUR PROJECT will not. GOOD DIRECTIONS WILL NEED TO BE POSTED ON YOUR SHOEBOX, you will not demo or be around for everyone to ask questions. When our final count is in, you will know how many kits to make. You will need to bring TWO extra completed shoebox projects (which includes a hostess thank you and one for your table so that everyone can follow it for directions). Participation in the table shoebox project is mandatory. This project will generally be a full card, with layers and embellishment(s) or a simple 3D item. Please provide any special adhesive that's needed. Make these something youd be thrilled to get yourself. When you KNOW what your card or project is, please post a name for it here or send me a PM. We will all have a check off list the day of the event.
You WILL need 2 completed. One for a sample at the table and one for the hostess. I will try to complete all of the projects on the day of the event, but because of the hectic day may not be able to complete them all. HOPE YOU UNDERSTAND ...
Because we will need time to do EVERYONE'S shoebox, we WILL NEED TO LIMIT the number of attendees. It will be 30.
Food Please indicate on the registration sheet the food item you will bring to share. Please be specific; dont just say food! Ideas: breakfast items, lunch items, including salads, desserts, snacks, canned soda ON ICE and water ON ICE. We love to try your food specialties! We will not have coffee, please plan ahead and bring it along.
Garage Sale Bring your stamps and stamping supplies to sell or trade. Current Stampin Up! items must be offered for trade only; you can sell retired items. Sorry but we cant be responsible for missing items so bring things at your own risk.
Goodie Bags for everyone! Everyone will leave with a bag of fabulous goodies. The goodie bags will all have the same value with some variations in colors, etc. If you would like to donate to the goodie bags, please let me know. We'd be happy to include a coupon or flyer for everyone.
Door Prizes We're going to skip door prizes this time. This will give us more time to stamp and "relieve" donors. If you were planning a door prize, please consider donating it to the next gathering. Thank you!!
Gift Swap You dont have to sign up for this one, but if you would like to participate, bring a wrapped gift related to our stamping passion. We will draw for those so that everyone who brings one will also leave with one. Value on these should be in the $5-10 range, and stamped projects are always appreciated! If its something youd like to take home, its probably perfect! Be sure to include your name somewhere inside so the lucky winner knows who to thank. REMEMBER: Stamping-related!!!
Other Stuff Please bring your own labeled items for your personal stamping needs, including your favorite adhesive. These are the items you just cant stamp without, like: bone folder, paper cutter/scorer, scissors, straight edge, stamp cleaner and whatever else you can't stamp without! Did I say adhesive????? Adhesive! You will likely need lots of it.
Make and wear a nametag with your name and your SCS name so that we know you on sight.
Don't forget your camera!
Complete the registration form and forward with your $20 payment by August 14th. All funds collected will be spent on the event, for the room and paper products etc. Your registration is complete when your payment is received. If you have any questions, please ask! Looking forward to seeing you VERY SOON.

Directions -
the location is at the corner of Morgan and Third St. in Ilion. It's hard to describe because it's at the intersection of 3 streets. But, I assure you, if you get to that corner, you can't miss it. There's a parking lot right next to the building and on street parking.
118 Morgan Street ILION

I have my shoebox designed in my head already - This time I'll keep it clean and simple...but still interesting! A friend asked me to make a card for her Godson's wedding so I'll make a few different designs to show her and then I can use them for 2 weddings I am going to later this summer. I love the black and white card we did at Table 2 in Syracuse so that one is going into the pile to pick from!
Judy - I may need to borrow a few dies and that big doily stamp!

Too bad my husband wouldn't bring me, I could go to the gathering and send him off to Remington Arms, but I think he would spend far more money than I would at a gathering.

Anyone else have their ticket for June 8's Syracuse Stamp Expo? Who all is going??? Sign up for their newsletter to get an extra door prize ticket! I'm going through the vendors' websites tonight making a wish list already!
We're heading north near Messena tomorrow for a funeral so not how we planned to start our holiday weekend but at least I get to see my college roommate! Sunday and Monday I'll be making swaps and a shoebox for Tuesday in the Rubber Room. I stamped some images to take with me to color in the car tomorrow. Have a great weekend, everyone!

Becky you are more than welcome to stay over (yes really, just leave your axe at home) Friday and Saturday night

You can buy it online for $6 or at the door for $8. Nancy just called and asked if I was going to Friday evening make n takes but I said no 'cause it's date night. I had already bought the $6 ticket for Sat. Of course, now I'm feeling left out and thinking I'm crazy not to go Fri. evening to play! Hmmmm.... BTW, once you pay for the ticket how do you get it??? I haven't seen an email, yet.
Yesterday's trip to Norfolk was loooong! It rained off and on going up and all the time coming home. The service was nice and everyone loved the program I made because of the collage of photos on it. After the luncheon, DH and I continued a little further to see the Eisenhower Lock but no ships were going through at that time. It really is no man's land - God's Country up there! It was gorgeous along the St. Lawrence! I even saw the sign for Camp Laurent that I went to for a week the summer I was about 6-7...flashback to my first morning of being soooo homesick! But I quickly recovered and had fun. I still have the dresser scarf I made by ironing crayon onto cloth. Anyway I drove most of the way home in the rain and we were home about 9 p.m. So glad it stays light later now!
Today I've been working on swaps for the Rubber Room. Such a cute idea but four die cuts x 13 + extras for me??? Plus coloring. I took the images to color in the car yesterday but couldn't because the images were too tiny to do a good job while on bumpy roads. And I've been "shopping" the vendors to make my wish list for June 8.
Just got home from the Town parade and Memorial Day ceremony. A couple of the Boy Scouts went down after being in the parade and standing in the sun at attention for the ceremony (DS wasn't one of them). Everyone was fine after sitting in the shade and getting some water.
We went to our little parade today too. Took mom and dad. And then lunch and ice cream at the marina. DH is now golfing. Mom and dad are napping. And I get to play in my room for a bit. Already cleaned the pool. Darn helicopters!!

Happy Memorial Day to all!
glad they are okay.
We had a family picnic and then cheered for my BIL as he paddled by in his 33rd Clinton. He was inducted into the Clinton Hall of Fame for being a local guy and racing 70 miles that many years...like since he was a 20 something. He's 57 in June.
