Wi** 2013 Hartford Shoebox- 5th annual- new thread

Maximum: 30 people
Saturday August 17, 2013 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
First National Bank of Hartford
116 West Sumner Street
Hartford Wisconsin, 53027
Hartford is located 22 miles north of Milwaukee.
Set Up from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m.
Stamping 10:00 – 5:00 p.m.
$20 Per Person – cost will cover room, prizes, lunch, snacks, chocolate, drinks and much more!
Door prizes, garage sale, tons of fun!
Please see attachment for shoebox swap instructions, optional swaps instructions, and application form.
There will be a "Garage Sale" so bring your stamp/scrap items priced to sell. No current Stampin' up! merchandise to be sold. Please limit your stock to half of an 8 foot table. Due to an overwhelming sale, we do not want all space taken up by the Garage Sale. Thank you.
Fill out attached application with a check to guarantee your spot due to limited space by July 27, 2013. This will give all stampers time to prepare their swaps. Totals will be given by August 3rd.
Don't be discouraged if you are a newbie or not sure of yourself, we want to welcome you with open arms. There will be people there that will be willing to help you. We want to make this fun for all types of stampers!
Due to everyone stamping at different paces everyone must stay until every stamper has finished all of their cards. If you wish to bring other projects to help fill your time please do so. We want everyone to enjoy their day so we do not want to have anyone feel pressured to finish in a hurry.
If you have any questions please email: [email protected] or [email protected] or post in this thread and your questions will be answered as soon possible.
If directions are needed please contact us.
We look forward to seeing you there for loads of fun!

Reason: Final numbers
YEAH!!!! Now my poor twisted mind can follow along a little easier. I'm going to try again to print out the registration form but will let you know if it doesn't work. We have card, ABC, 6x6 recipe (theme? or any), Notebook and lottery right? Please correct me if I'm wrong on any of these. I have to get cracking because these things seem to sneak up fast.
Thanks! You wonderfully fabulous women!
<3 Mel :p
Also a decorated jar mel. Let us know what you wanna do otherwise and just send in your money. whatever works for you. Cant wait to see everyone again!!!!!!!!!!!!
I will also have Tombow Permanent Refills. Price 1 for $1.75 or a box of 6 for $10.40. If you know you want some, let me know and I will reserve them for you. If you aren't sure, don't worry, I'll be bringing 24 boxes (some already spoken for).

Hi!
I'm Deanna (and Bridget is my friend). We are both crafters from way back. I teach stamping classes and have been doing so for almost 15 years. I love making cards, scrapbooks, and learning all kinds of new techniques and teaching others how to do them, too.
Bridget is an accomplished quilter and a stamper. Not sure how long she has been doing stamping. We started working together in the Waterford Library
One thing led to another and now here we are about to experience our very first ever Shoebox. Feeling a little like a duck out of water not knowing what to expect, but it should be fun!
Hope this answers some of your questions, Diane, about us and lets all of you know us a little bit.
We'll see you soon! If any of you has advice for us in our "getting ready" modes, please feel free to email me or fill me in here. Thanks!
Most of our totals are in. We are still waiting to hear from 2 ppl for what they are doing for optional swaps. Please see Post #2 for this info.
Total for the shoebox is 17.
You are to premake 2 cards and have kits ready for 15. Please bring stamps, inks, tools and anything else needed for everyone to make your card.
Please remember that you must stay for everyone to finish all cards before before cleaning you station. We want everyone to be able to stamp at their own pace and have a Great time.
Can't wait to see everyone there and especially some new faces. See you soon.
Please do not hesitate ask any more questions and please note our cell numbers for contact just in case.
Deanna & Bridget - Welcome! Nothing to worry about with all of us - we're an easy going bunch of ladies that are really too easy to get along with! We have tons of fun at all of the shoeboxes that any of us go to! Looking forward to meeting you!
Ladies, please take note of the large number of people that have not yet paid for this event. There is no cost for the room (THANK YOU, Tamara) so all of the money collected goes right back to you in delicious homemade food and door prizes. In order to get the prizes for that day, someone has to pay money for them and I feel strongly that Tiffany and Tamara should not have to take their own money to buy prizes for the event - registration is past due and that includes the money. Please send your checks right away!
The above message was from me, Diane Vey - sorry for the confusion but my computer was signed on as Tiffany from when we had our meeting about food & prizes!
Deanna & Bridget, I can't wait to meet you - we all have great times whenever we get together - WARNING: You're about to have too much fun! Looking forward to next Saturday!

Hi everyone. Hope you are all having fun doing your projects. Just a note that post #2 is now officially complete. Any questions reach any one of us. On that note time for me to get started. Looking forward to seeing all the older faces and the newer ones joining us.
My mailman is a douche. He left my outgoing letter in the box and put my new mail on top and I didn't see it until last night. Excuses, excuses. Either way, my late payment for myself and JoAnn K has gone out this a.m. Took it to the p.o. and scolded them myself. Thank you ladies and really looking forward to the swap

Mine went out today. Mine is because I am a space cadet. See you all soon
At the Shoebox next week, cabin sign up will begin - our dates for this year are October 11-12-13, 2013. The cost is $75 per person (as long as we have 10 people) for both nights. The cabin can be seen at Cabin Fremont | Lodging Fremont | Cabin Rental Wisconsin | Fremont Lodging | Fremont Cabin Rental - it's even more AWESOME in real life than the pictures are! (Fremont is west of Oshkosh.) I will bring the main course for Saturday night's supper (usually Italian) and we do an organized potluck for the rest of the weekend's food. Everyone pitches in by bringing their own drinks or drinks to share. Some people go shopping in Appleton, some go to the cheese factory, some stay at the cabin - some craft, some hike, do whatever you want all weekend! The cabin gets pretty full with 10 of us there so many of us don't bring craft stuff along at all but it's individual choice.
Thank you to those that sent their payment. If I have received yours I did update the thread.
Not sure what time is gonna bring me but not to REALLY get moving. YIKES!!!! Can't wait. Again please don't be afraid to ask any questions if you have any. See you in a few days.
p.s. Robin Nett, I received a check for Joann too from her so she is double paid. I have her check yet. Please remind me to give that back on Sat.
What an awesome day of stamping and friendship - so glad to have met some new friends & hope that we all see each other at future events! THANK YOU, Tiffany & Tamara for all of your hard work to make this another great success!
What a FUN time! THANK YOU to everyone who worked so hard to make this happen: Tiffany, Tamara and Diane especially and anyone else whose name I didn't get! Plus, thanks to all the wonderful stampers, scrappers, canners, brandy makers, crocheters, and artists of all genres who made things that I got look at and marvel at--as well as those I was lucky enough to take home and enjoy!
Bridget and I agreed that we must do this again. If you have lists, keep us on them!! Next time perhaps we can bring even more friends along.
Ok, I am terrible with names and forgetful in general, so who made the card with the hero arts ink, I need the specific name of the inks that were used. I loved them so much. I would love to get them...Thanks Sheri
Sheri,
Bridget had that card. The inks were Hero Arts Dauber inks--newly out. She also used one (the yellow one) Hero Arts NEON dauber ink because she couldn't find the "plain" yellow dauber. Hope that helps.
