Ready for a new Mix-Ability challenge?!! We hope you're having fun with these! Our goal is to make mixed media, easy, approachable and FUN! We want to convince you that no matter what your style is - you can DO it!

Miss Lydia is away having grand and stampy adventures, setting world records and all kinds of wonderful things! I'm filling in for her this week, and bringing you her amazing challenge, which is...........

Make a mixed media project on a white surface (canvas, cardstock) where you only finish part of a stamped or sketched image - sort of like mixed media spotlighting. You must use three or more mediums - paint, ink, chalk, collage elements, embossing, graphite - any of the above.

If you want to start these challenges in the pages of an art journal instead of a card, or on scrapbook pages, or on 3D items - please know - ANYTHING is welcome! We want you to learn and enjoy! We've attached some samples below to get your creative wheels spinning! Use a spotlight technique like Jeanne did, have fun with masking, or leave areas uncolored like me!

Please remember to put in the correct keyword (MIX25) when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos. Then come back to this thread and paste a link to the card in your gallery so we can all ooh and ahhh!

WOW..you guys are really testing our mixed media mettle! I wasn't sure about this one at first but I liked what my final result was.

I'm gently dripping sweat here, so this is pretty minimalist - I've barely coloured any of the stamped image in, and some of what I did is covered by the roses, LOL.
If it cools down over the weekend I'll try something more adventurous - but plenty of different media thrown in here .

Ok, I didn't read the directions well enough I made an unfinished card which was really hard for me, and I really liked how it turned out.

Didn't really turn out like I was thinking in my head but IT IS unfinished and did use a variety of medium (is that the right word?)
Thanks for the challenge even though it is VERY hard for me to leave things unfinished!!! I guess that is why it's called a challenge huh?
