Scrappin' Challenge 2013

Can you believe this is our 5th year of Scrappin' Goal Challenge?! We sure completed an AWESOME number of pages together in 2009 through 2012 and I'm looking forward to MORE Scrap pages together in 2013! Let's keep scrappin'.

It was SO fun to chat about and see everyone's pages, goals and ideas for completing LOTS of scrapbook pages in 2013! Many had a common theme - get more pages done, use what's in our stash, meet new scrapping friends, plan time/crops...

What fun we'll have sharing ideas, cheering success, keeping the motivation and making new friends. Our scrap goal isn't all about getting pages done, it's also about enjoying the process! Please feel free to join at any time!

Here's the CHALLENGE. Each person can share their page goals, pages and ideas. for those of use who like Annual Goals, we will have a better shot at meeting our yearly goal if we break it down by month.

*In this thread, we track our monthly goals. We find it helps us keep getting pages done which is good for all of us.

You choose your own scrapbook page goal and monthly spend goal. You may select 2, 3, 5, 50 pages....you choose. The idea is to be flexible so if you know you're going to be really busy, you can reduce the number one month or if you're going to a couple crops or scrap weekends, up the number. This also works for the budget. Each month, you can change your goals depending on your calendar!

The whole goal of the challenge is to get lots of pages done all the while enjoying sharing with Virtual Friends.

Put me down for my usual 8 pages. I'm going to the CKC Convention this month so I should be able to get them done. Plus I have started a 2 page layout in June but but didn't get them finished.

Put me down for 12, which is what I had figured for each month to reach my yearly goal. I will pass my yearly goal but still want to go with 12 just to make sure I keep up the work.

I'm going to shoot for 10 pages for July, and am happy to say I exceeded my June goal by 3!!!
Since 4 of my June pages were waiting to be shared in a blog hop today, I have added three new layouts to the gallery and I'll share them here (and check out my blog for the hop!)

A big fat ZERO pages in June :-(. I've put more miles on my car these past 6 week than I did the past 6 months. I think I'm getting a 4th of July break so I'm working on organizing my photos and backing them up; then hopefully I can scrap a bit. I still need to organize my digi elements but I'm so lost as to how to do that...nothing seems right to me so far when I research it. I'd love to get 12 pages done this month but will be okay if I get 4...not okay if I get another 0! :-)

Well I didn't meet my June goal but I did get pages done.
Now, it's July (which I can't believe) and on the very first day of the month......I already have 1 page done. Yay! Yay! Me!

I completed 7 layouts in June, bringing me to a total of 48 layouts YTD. I'm going to go for 10 layouts this month and cross my fingers I can get there. Wait, if I cross my fingers, I can't scrapbook, so forget the fingers thing! Anyway, I'm off to a good start with a layout completed this morning, so here's my last layout for June and my first one for July.

Hi Sharon...I adored your page! Just wanted to let you know that you put '12' in your keyword not '13' so it's in last year's gallery. I use the keyword hyperlink to go back to the gallery for viewing...got a surprise when I saw all the pages completed by the 2d, then realized what happened :-).

Are you going to Murfreesboro? I was thinking of going to it, just have to figure out how to fit it in.

I doubt I'll get any pages done this month but I am shooting for regular visits to this thread though!

Thanks Mary Pat, I swear, it was 13 when I put the date down :rolleyes: , don't know how it changed to 2012?? Anyway, it's fixed.

I have another page done but will post a little later today, I'm off to take my mother shopping and she likes going early in the morning!! I will also take a look at the whole gallery and live a little love........

We've had so many thunder/lightening storms the past few days I still haven't finished working on my photo files on my hard drive but they seem to have passed for now so that's my project for this evening. The upside is my bedroom closet got gutted of the cr@* that's been building in there over the past months :-).

Definitely will update everyone. The classes are only Friday & Saturday but we're going on Tuesday so we can shop the Lancaster area. Lots of Amish shops that sell lots of scrapping & stamps, etc. There are 5 of us going & we always have a great time.

I was thinking yesterday that one of these conferences could be a good opportunity for SCS scrappers to get together. It's all set up, we just make our arrangements and meet there to shop, scrap, etc. Anyone interested for maybe Fall of 2014? That would give us a year to save...just a thought :-).

Ugh, I have wasted away half the day. It is a yucky day today so no outside festivities. I've got Emily's quilt to make (only cut the squares so far), scrapbooking to do and of course my craft room can always use some cleaning out/up. Which to work on is the big question. I did clean up an area to set up a table for my sewing machine. It's just sitting over there waiting on me to play with it. Ok, sew a little then scrap a little. Chow!

Woo hoo! Progress! I have half of the quilt squares sewn together and Brooke straightened up my craft room (also has other stuff down there) while I sewed. So, now I think I'll see where I'm at on my scrapping.

I got no pages done in June. Don't know if I can get any done tis month. Just take it a day at a tome. I did a card. . Mom is still in rehab and when she goes home, don' t know how we will manage. I will have to be there probably 4 times a day to feed het.

I didn't meet my goal for June but did get 7 pages done. Not bad considering we had company for a week and a half. ;)

On the bright side, I've already done 2 pages done this month. Go ahead and put me down for 10.

I had a Scrap plan for tonight and it all went Awry when the Cable Guy showed up this afternoon and announced that it was some sort of "booster" that quit working to cause our TV's to not get channels. My DH gives me a look and says, "Honey, that would be in the attic" which you get to through a closet in my Craft Room. The Cable Guy stood there while DH and I unloaded said closet all the while my DH assured me we did not have enough Home Owners Insurance to over all the (s)crap I have in that closet, LOL!

Well, the Cable Guy was able to fix the TV's which was important to my DH so he was happy and since everything was out of the closet, I decided it was a good time for a Major Purge. 2 Garbage Bags later, 1 box for donation (GW), 4 Rubbermaid Medium totes empty for the garage and over 100 Swap Cards sorted to Donate to the Cards for a Cause and my Scrap Office is somewhat back together. I started moving stuff on the bookshelf and just have to finish.

Tomorrow, after coffee w/ one of my SCS Friends I hope to come home and get busy on the pages I had planned to start tonight ... It's good to see so many scrappin'!

Thankfully the Closet has 1/2 the amount of stuff it did when I started
