Hello everyone...I hope you had a great weekend and now you are ready to get your fingers inky!!!!
My challenge to you is to *angle the background*!! I just love the look of an angled background...here are the deets:
1. Cut two pieces of designer paper or card stock...you can use the same paper or two different designs. I cut mine 4" x 5 1/4" 2. Stack them with right sides up ( you can use landscape or portrait) and cut your angle with a paper cutter. 3. You can make the top bigger than the bottom, the top smaller than the bottom, or make the top and bottom the same size...what ever flips your skirt!! 4. Now, adhere to your card base or another piece of card stock to create your background layer. 5. You can also use just one of the halves and let the card stock be the other half.
Joan- awesome challenge! I needed a kick start and this was it! I used SU's Love Grows, my oldest SU set I believe, and 2 embossing folders to decorate this card. Added a flower/gem combo- here's Green Scene

Joan- just had to try this again! I used an older set - SU's Goose Greetings on a vertically striped and embossed ATC- and sewed a border on for pizzazz!
Here's Goose Greetings

Fun challenge, thanks Joan; love the colors and layout in your card.
I am only working part-time this summer so I will have more opportunities to play with stamps and ink. This card went to my hubby, for our 35th anniversary today. We used to go out dancing almost every weekend or any chance we got during the first 10-15 years; so this musical theme honors the fun we had doing that. Here is my card, *Only One You by asweetjewel - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
Thanks for looking at my card.

I made this card just in time for this challenge...I had some GORGEOUS DCWV My Sunshine stack striped paper, and used the technique my husband taught me to angle the stripes. It's easy to do, but I only have 3 usable straight pieces from each 12x12 sheet, which leaves me with triangles...
