Inspiration Challenge 394 ~ thomaspaul

This week's Inspiration Challenge comes from the designs of thomaspaul . The products are derived from classic design motifs from different periods in textile design � incorporating anything from an 18th century Damask pattern to a camouflage print. The unifying thread between so many different styles is to change the designs so they are updated for today.

For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many choices, I've uploaded five of my favorites � so just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration.

I invited Ceal ( simplybeautiful ) to join me in making some additional cards to inspire us.

The rest of you, remember to let us know which product from thomaspaul that inspired you.

Use the keyword: IC394 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.

How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Remember, if you are inspired by the creation of another artist, please do not use print-outs of the art in your creation or directly copy their work. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!

Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). I was inspired by thomaspaul's 22" solid linen pillow in Aqua and made this easel card using SU's Perfect Blend and A Round Array. Background is embossed with swiss dots, and I added a mini "stirrer" with a heart/dot combo. Added a scalloped dc "For You" and some yellow checkered washi tape for accents. It's ages since I played with the challenges, but as soon as I saw the butterfly pillow I just had to use my barely used swallowtail stamp to make a card. I finally had time to look at this challenge today and to look at ThomasPaul. Wow this is a wonderful inspiration choice. Whenever I look at beautiful things like this, I wish I lived near water year round. I hope I have a chance to create something later. Thanks Stef and others for your weekly creativity.
