One layer, that is! While it is only one layer, I think that the possibities are endless. You can stamp it, emboss it, die cut it, mask it, sponge it. Do whatever you like, to the one layer!
I have attached samples from Cathy, Sabrina and myself below. Just so you know, Cathy made a whole set of note cards and she will link them up in the gallery.
Remember to use the keyword, WT431, when uploading your project so we can all see your creation. It helps if you link it up back here too. You can view the entire gallery for this challenge HERE.

It took me two goes for this because on the first one I decided to add some flowers to my grass and then didn't like how they looked  . But at least I'd learned enough to have a better workflow going for the second one. WT431 One Layer for Dad
How fun to work on this challenge! Here is my card for WT431. The base is cardstock, and the layer is watercolor paper. This is my first challenge, so I'm not sure I'm linking it correctly. Most of you have a clean and simple title as your hyperlink, and mine just appears as the URL (long and messy). Any suggestions? Parisian Thank You by NaomiW - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers
Thanks! Now looking at other people's cards, I'm afraid mine might actually be a two layer card. I thought it could actually have a "layer" when I uploaded. Sorry if I goofed!
Toni, I know in the strictest terms of the OLC, I failed. My main and only panel is one-layer and I threw everything at it from faux watercoloring, watercoloring, stamping, Copics, to Gelli print, but it is glued to my card base.

I hosted a VSN challenge to make one-layer cards, and I allowed that cards with the art done on a separate layer and attached to a card base could still be called one-layer.
I make one-layer cards all the time and will be back later with something I make using one of the new stamps I bought yesterday.
OK, here is mine. So technically it isn't one layer, but it's about as much a single layer as I would ever get! ;) I think dimensionals should be required! Anyway, TFL!

I just finished my card. Wow! What a fun challenge! I really enjoyed this. It felt like everything was old school.
I am on my way to my folk's house for dinner, but I will be back to comment tonight.
Here is another one. Went to my mom and dad's house for dinner and made a card while I was there. Woo Hoo! Dinner and entertainment. Loved this challenge. Thanks for looking!
One-layer cards are usually a snap for me. I decided to push the limits (for me) on this one and made it difficult (for me).
I had a hard time doing this directly on the card base. Mixed media can be so messy! In fact, this is my second card as the first one was just awful. LOL!
Just finished this one using new peel off sticker and fun metallic paints...colors are exquisite, if I do say so myself (the Viva Decor Stemple paints are fabulous):
well, i totally screwed up!. i am new to the challenges and saw it was "a way to use it", then went to the list and picked embossing powder...hahahaha!! that was a totally different challenge probably from a few years ago! LOL! I'm such a knucklehead!
 so, no wt431...i have a wt05!
Hugs, Robin
