I used an awesome paper to decoupage a small chest of drawers in my office. And now I have new furniture that I would like to match. But I can't find the paper!
Anyone have any tips/tricks to finding papers? Here is a picture of the project in it's early stages. Does anyone recognize the paper?
Someone needs to develop an app that would allow you to take a photo of a paper and it would direct to a link where you can buy it, or at the very least, who the manufacturer is. Are you listening APP DEVELOPERS? LOL I'd pay for an app like that.
I even used Tineye, and it didn't return any hits.
Tineye is a free to use. reverse image finding, program. You give it a picture and it crawls the web looking for matches. A lot of artists use it to see if anyone is using their artwork without permission.

I also tried searching using the Google Reverse Image search: Google Images but didn't come up with anything that matches your paper.
Because your image looks a bit like kraft coloured designer paper, the only thing that I can think of is that Basic Grey had a pad of 12 x 12 kraft designer paper a while ago and My Minds Eye has also produced a number of kraft lines - maybe this might help (?).
If you do not find the paper you are looking for here is another idea. Hero Arts has a stamp set "circles" and with kraft paper you may be able to stamp something similiar.

It was made to help find the source of images on pinterest, but if you use it with any image, it will find that image or similar ones using google image search. Pretty nifty. And it's easy to use.
But it didn't find anything like your paper either...sorry.
A bit more about the paper, because it is difficult to see in my picture. I bought it at Michaels about 2 years ago from open stock, by the page. It's very heavy paper, the colored parts of the circles are raised and very slightly glittery.
Oh how I could just kick myself for not buying more of it!

I say who needs an app when you have SCS? :p
Because I looked at your picture, and immediately thought, that paper looks familiar...
So I checked my stash and found that I do indeed have the pattern, except with a blue background.
If yours is on a kraft background, like it appears to be in the picture, it's possible that the design was also manufactured by someone else, but hopefully this info helps.

Who needs tattoos? I already have ink in strange places...
I've searched high and low, and no one seems to have it in stock. Thank you so much for that link, but it leads back to scrapbook.com and it's not in stock. I wonder if scrappingwithlove.com was bought by scrapbook.com.
I found a seller on ebay, and have contacted them to see how many pages they have in stock. I'm hoping it's more than the three they have listed.. because I need it to cover two chests.
Thanks again, my search continues, but with better direction!
Sometimes the best we can do is state that we don't know the manufacturer and more often than not, someone will chime in and give you the answer you seek. There's no shame in stating the truth about not knowing or remembering who created the paper, especially when you have gone to great lengths to try to find out.
That paper was out about two years ago. I used to have it---got it at Joann's, along with another stack by Cloud 9 called Cocoa Mint. If you have a Joann's nearby, you *might* be able to find the pattern where they sell the single 12x12 sheets. Sometimes they have older patterns in that area.
Thanks Rockriver, maybe I will do that tomorrow. I've already been to the Michaels where I originally purchased it. Also Hobby Lobby.
As a side note, wow has Michael's gone downhill. The selection of open stock is down to just one wall, and even that is not all 12x12. Same can be said for the rest of their supplies. It seems Hobby Lobby officially has the largest selection of paper in our area now, as well as everything else. And with better prices, and cleaner store. Makes me kind of sad really =/
I'm also finding that it is entirely possible that Cloud 9 Designs is no longer around. Most places that have any left, it's on the clearance racks, 1 or 2 pieces here and there.
Colorbk Colorbk BRANDS
Since Colorbok says Cloud 9 Design is 1 of their brands, maybe someone at their blog or website could help you find more of that paper if you contact them?
Worth a try anyway.
I looked in my stash, but I only have 2 sheets of Chocolate Chalet. Sorry!

What a great little bookmarklet! I just added it to my Favourites Bar and did a search on a card from my blog just to see how it works. It linked to a Scrapbooking Store's website as a sample card for selling their Cuttlebug embossing folders....without permission . I sent them a nicely worded email to ask them to remove it - hope they oblige! Sorry to be "off-topic" - I was just a bit annoyed to see my card there!
Hey Tishahendricks: Thanks so much for pointing out the Colorbok connection. It's very confusing to me! I've found Cloud 9 Designs under Fiskars, now Colorbok, an my widdle head is all spinny.
But! The Colorbok blog is ever so helpful, I'm going to post directly to the design team. Crossing fingers and toes!
And thank you ever so much for checking your stash. How very kind of you! Me, a total stranger and all. <3
JoBear - isn't it awesome? I have a lot of artist friends who found people using their images without permission on Etsy, by using reverse image finders.
When I'm searching I use the bookmarklet and Tineye, just to make double sure. Let us know what their reply is. Also, please let us know if they don't take it down. I don't wish to give money to shady companies.
I will let you know the outcome. It is a scrapbooking store in Asia so unlikely that anyone would buy from them. They have a lot of Facebook fans so I have other avenues of communication to pursue if need be - but I hope the email is enough.
Just thought I would update. The Colorbok blog hasn't responded, and neither has the Ebay seller that has 3 pages. I've given up hope of finding it for sale at any of the scrapbooking stores. So I think it's time to move on, and find a different paper.
Thanks everyone for your help, it's very much appreciated.

Certainly is a great little tool. I did a bigger search and found that the website used 8 of my cards as samples to help sell their Cuttlebug products and Penny Black stamps (without my permission). My emails were ignored so I actually rang them up and very nicely asked that they remove my card photos. I think they were a little shocked  to get an overseas phone call (I live in Australia) and were very apologetic. My photos were removed within 24 hours so I was very pleased. Nothing like actually talking to a person to get some action!
Did you have any luck with getting the paper yet? I know how frustrating it is to want a particular paper but you just can't get it anymore :(
Hi Jobear - I'm so glad you were able to convince them to stop using your work! Gosh, the nerve of people!
And no, I've had no luck at all. No response from Colorbok or Cloud 9 at all. Not even to say they received my email. No response from the Ebay seller, I guess she isn't interested in my business.
I'm still trying to find something to match my office. Onwards and upwards =)
