How to scrapbook rose petals

I recently turned 40 and I want to include some of the rose petals from my black roses bouquet I received from my mother. lol!! :p

If I just put them in a small ziploc baggies is that enough protection for the other papers and photos since the rose petals are not acid free?

How have you guys scrapbooked flower/rose petals?

I think there's some kind of resin or something that you can dip the flower in to coat it and preserve it. Don't know if that product's acid-free though. Otherwise, the petals just dry and shrivel up because most containers aren't airtight. If they were red roses, they'd also turn black, but that's what color yours already are. ;D LOL I usually just take a good close-up pic of flowers to scrapbook.

Use a regular home iron to press them flat between pieces of waxed paper. Then use a plastic envelope designed for scrapbook pages. They come in different sizes and can be
found at Michaels, Creative Memories and CTMH.
OR, you could photograph them and use the photo as a background paper in digital scrapping.
