Yay, my birthday twin. I don't know much about the signs either - we really are twins!! Never had an MRI, but I don't think I'm claustrophobic.

Since I have to work today after all, bummer, I'm never going to get to the end of this thread before it's time to leave. Congratulations to all the winners, especially Chris. If you seen a green glow on the horizon it's DH feeling envious, LOL, he would love something like the Pazzles - only not enough to buy himself one .
And big congratulations to Theresa on her tag!!!
Icecream floats/sodas - sodas here for sure, I think we used to use either ginger ale or white lemonade. But they don't really work with homemade icecream .
Chocolate egg cream sounds like a total misnomer but has me hankering after an eggnog which isn't.
I'm not bad on bridges in cars, but not good at all on foot. If we walk towards the city along the canal, we have to cross the motorway. It's so weird having the canal banks suddenly give way to this concrete jungle, since the railway line and a a couple of other things all get routed across the motorway along the same stretch. I usually walk in the other direction .

Now, just time to check the sketch challenge so I can think about it for the morning.

Congrats to all the winners!

I can't believe I fell asleep last night before 7. Of course that means I was wide awake at 330. So I read all 13 pages from last night...and was ROFL! Great fun!

I'll be following along until there's no posts happening here...I always do!

Good morning! I had a glow all night just thinking about Chris' win (and how long it took her to catch up and learn about it.)

Congrats again to ALL the winners. A huge THANKS to all the sponsors, challenge hostesses, Lydia and all the behind-the-scenes workers.

I'll check in here regularly, but will miss the daily (hourly!) chit chat. I'm looking forward to hearing from the sponsors about when we can go shopping and/or receive our prizes. Then I hope we can set up a thread to post things we make with our winnings.

Congrats to all of the prize winners and to everyone who made cards for this awesome event. I lost my 39 year old sister in law in May after a year long battle with breast cancer so this year's HYCCT was very special to me. Thanks for all of the behind the scenes work Lydia, all of the humor everyone provided and a special thank you to the sponsors for the awesome prizes. Happy stampin'!

I was raised in the south and "ma'am" and "sir" were used as a sign of respect, not "old". Don't be offended by it, be grateful someone still raises their children with manners. It's rare these days.

Congrats, Chris! Looks like y'all had fun being tortured by Lydia. She will have to find a new hobby until next year. Congrats to all participants, you are all winners in my book.

Congrats to all of the winners this year and a special congrats for our grand prize winner Chris.. How cool and what fun you are going to have... I wonder how many cards the hospital received in the last two month, since I read that some sent lots of extras. Looking forward to next year already.... Hugs to all

I'm dragging just a bit after our late night prize fest, but it was so fun!
DH is from the South and calls EVERYONE ma'am and taught our kids that way too.
As a mom who was almost 40 when I had my last child, I've had the "privilege" of being mistaken for her grandma, as in "Oh how sweet that your grandma brought you to the library today." Last time I go out with a migraine and no shower! Cried all that afternoon.
My dad grew up on a dairy farm and one summer when I was visiting his family they were trying a new drink they called a purple cow which was milk and grape juice....not a fan!
Lois, hope your last day at work is spectacular and that you have an easy transition into retirement.

Nice looking mug and tea-bag label , but you still haven't convinced me that milk and Earl Grey should go together. I'll keep my bay leaves, you keep your London Fog - but if I see one listed somewhere I might just try it and think of you!

Um, grape juice and milk should NOT go together. Ick. Sorry about the grandma comment. My dad was 49 when my sister was born and he's has snow white hair since his late 30s. He gets grandpa comments A LOT!

I jumped on here an 1-1/2 hours ago and have not even caught up with what all is going on. I keep clicking off to go to someone's blog or to look at cute smilies or to look at a gallery. I'll never catch up at this rate and now I have to leave to go to the dentist. Yuck!
And all the talk of floats, sodas, cream soda - wow am I thirsty! Does anyone remember a soda fountain drink called Cherry Ironport? That was one of my favorites as a kid. My aunt worked at the Rexall drug soda fountain. We'd stop to see her and I would get a Cherry Ironport. I have not idea what it was made from other than cherry syrup was added. Ok gotta go! Check back later.

It's called an egg cream because when made properly the head looks like frothy egg whites.

Missed all the excitment last night, but a HUGE CONGRATS to you, Chris, and to all the grand prize winners!!!
glad you got a laugh. I'm still chuckling. Yeah, I am oblivious sometimes but if you're laughing and not throwing stuff or making obscene gestures at me I'm OK with it.

I was once sir'd by a police officer who had pulled my buddy over, we didn't go to jail or get a ticket or anything, maybe she was missing a tail light. But at any rate, I didn't hear the end of that for a long time.
and not shortly after that another friend had a picture of the two of us out at her job, she worked for a Japanese company (something like Masaoka Isakowa) and while she thought they were all darling they wanted to know 'Who the boy?" in the photo with her.
After those two incidents I decided it was time to let my hair grow back.
