Just got home from work and thought I'd check in. 50 years ago my late husband and I spent our honeymoon in the Poconos. Those mountains are FULL of honeymoon spots! The big honeymoon place had been Mount Airy Lodge and it closed around the time we got our place, that was 2001. My SIL who is married about 52 years spent her honeymoon there too. By the time we moved down here gambling came in and Mt. Airy reopened. My SIL & BIL came out for a weekend and we went over. I don't gamble much and wasn't too interested in it there, the tables had virtual dealers. It was too weird for me. It was nice to walk around and gawk and have a bite to eat.

Goodness, if I knew we were being audited today I wouldn't of come in. Today isn't the day for me, I was hoping I'd be left alone but that's happening.

Did Lydia poke in & poke back out again?

OK found it in the control panel... but mine is set to "forum default" (but it does not list how many posts per page that may be) and so this post 5006 is on page 126 for me.

eta and changing it to 50 posts per page moved me from page 126 to page 101

Stacy -- I am so glad you asked the question. I spent time today looking for a way to sort the forum - just as a kind of personal challenge to see if I could do it LOL!

Yeah, back to weight loss as a personal challenge- couldn't find a way to sort....
Where is this user panel of which you speak??

And I am currently on page 126 as well. Not that it makes a big difference in my quality of life to be able to change the way the thread is displayed - I'm just tired of feeling inadequate at the computer

eta -- never mind - I DID IT {so proud}

Cambric tea is the way I started to drink tea -- my grandmother made it for me. I think that's why I still put milk in my tea (even Earl Grey -- sorry, Sabrina).

LOL! Happy Birthday Peggy -- I have a 17 year old daughter and the aliens are here in full force! Although not all the time -- just enough to be really annoying... and to keep you wondering if you will be dealing with good or evil when she comes home from school.

Well, since I have always been in a very small minority by not taking milk, I wonder, on the foot of this thread, is it something to do with my mother. She grew up in pre-war/wartime France with raw milk which they boiled (she had TB), and she didn't really like milk in any form except as comfort food when she was sick. So she never offered us milk in our tea and coffee.

By the way, congratulations on your upcoming retirement, Lois. May you enjoy every day of it. I loved it when I was gainfully unemployed, but now we need the money.

My mom who was Irish always put milk and sugar in hot tea and that's how I got used to it. I thought it was an Irish thing. When I started trying teas other than Lipton I discovered that most of them don't taste too good with milk and sugar. I also discovered that part of why I like the milk is that it cools it off. I don't like it hot, but I do like it strong. Once it's cool I can drink it with or without the milk, but I've only learned those things maybe in the last ten years and I've been drinking tea for most of my life.

Heading off to go get "fixed up" to speak at a women's group tonight. I might just have to fix myself a tea before I go.

I have two and find I use them both - don't want to waste 5" adhesive on something 2" wide. But y'all are saying the 5" is not going to be available?

it doesn't say but their site says that that name of a machine comes in either a 5" or a bigger size... ( so I'm kinda hoping its the 5 because that would be similar to the 510 I have now and "big enough" for me kwim?) but, beggars can't be choosers and it will be a really nice thing to receive either which way.

they made two different versions of the 5" machine ( in the last dozen years) maybe 3... the version I have is number 510 that one was discontinued a few years ago... they have what ever is the current number or name at M's on the shelf I think but, I talked myself out of buying one maybe 6 months ago because I still have a bit of glue left in my 510...

I bought the kid the 2.5" one a million years ago when I scrapped and he scrapped too haha... but I mostly use the little X.

I use it for intricate die cuts that the glue from my oh shoot the big clod hopper glue gun deal I know its number is 714 for refills wont fit on because the Xyrons you put your what ever you want glue on on the opening spot and either turn a handle or pull the sheet and when it comes out the other side the entire back piece is evenly coated with adhesive. ( I only buy perm. adhesive... I dont have a use for temp. glue )

happy birthday to your daughter, Lee!
Yes, Manners is where we've gone. I just couldn't think of the name. Had so much fun there when the kiddos were little. My one daughter has gone there too w/ her family.

My mom used to make sauce with bay leaves and sometimes she'd forget to take them out and I was always appalled to find a leaf in my food.

I don't use em.
