Challenge Title: Give 'em a Squeeze!
Hostess: debdeb aka Deb
Keyword: HYCCT1119
Date: October 19

Whether it's a squeeze in the form of a preventive mammogram, the squeeze of a compression garment to minimize the swelling after a surgery requiring removal of some lymph nodes, or the loving {{hug}} of a supportive friend, a squeeze can be a good thing!

My challenge is for you to give some paper a squeeze! Dry emboss an element of your card!

UPLOADING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. All Hope You Can Cling To Challenge Entries must be uploaded to the Hope You Can Cling To Gallery, with the specific challenge keyword, no later than November 7th, 2010 at 12:00 Noon Central Time to be eligible for our fabulous prizes! Post a link to your entry in this thread.
2. You may not combine challenges, but you are welcome to create multiple cards for each challenge.
3. Please remember to put in the correct keyword when uploading your image. Copying and pasting the challenge keyword is recommended to avoid typos.
4. Please package all challenge entries with an envelope, protected with a clear plastic bag and mail them to our partner at the UT MD Anderson Cancer Center to benefit patients being treated for breast cancer and their family. We would like for them to receive cards throughout the month of October, but we understand if you'd like to mail all your cards at once.
5. Since these cards will be used by visitors for patients, most should be blank inside, but feel free to send cards with messages of hope for the patients in addition to your challenge cards!

For my dry embossing, I went with Cuttlebug's Leafy Branches EF, stamped it with my clear VersaMark Pad, and added then some sparkly embossing powder - and finally, applied heat. I added a ice pink felt flower from Stampin' Up, and a silver brad, along with some stamped snowflakes. Made from Love is my tag, tied with a silver cord and some bling

I had something else in mind altogether when I read the challenge, but after a ring at the door woke me up and got me out of bed I went in a fresh direction and made this:

Thanks, everyone, for playing! I have loved seeing your cards! Gorgeous textures, lovely patterns, and wonderful sentiments!

I don't always use embossing folders on my cards, but I cut and/or emboss the focal image on just about every card I make...there are lots of other ways to squeeze too, once you start thinkin' about it! Like using squeezed air to air-brush, or squeezing a punched border, and I love Dawn's belly-band squeeze! So creative and so fun! I hope you've had fun playing along!

Here is my HYCCT1119 dry embossed card. I used embossing in several ways on this card. The snowflakes are dry embossed on vellum. Believe is embossed in silver, and the Santa is double embossed. The embedded embossing is from the splitcoast technique tutorial link here
I did mine with versamark dazzle, three layers of UTEE, heat embossing with silver for the snowflakes. I'm making four cards to send in.

Here is my card! I used four different embossing folders, but they didn't really show up. You can see a tiny bit of it in the middle striped paper. I had fun doing all that embossing, though!
