You complete me. I love kettle corn.
I have the guys run reports with all the stats for me for the prize drawings. I'll give you your views tomorrow. I've moved to the laptop and the kitten sitting on me so I can see a LOST before I go to sleep.
My hubby is out at a friend's house watching some show where folks beat the tar out of one another for money - it REALLY bothers me that he likes that violent stuff. What can you do? I thought I would stamp all night and catch up with the VSN challenges, but then I started having fun on this thread and kinda lost the mood...
I used to have a whirly pop and it was slowly breaking and falling apart. Well DH thought it was stupid to even want another one. Anywho I found a brand new one at a local thrift store for $5!

Here is one of my favorite winter recipes: homemade cinnamon rolls
Using a bread machine makes this recipe easy ... though rolling out the dough is hard on my old back!
Ingredients:
Dough:
1 cup warm (not hot!) milk (if milk is too hot it will kill the yeast)
2 eggs, room temperature
1/3 cup butter, melted
4 1/2 cups bread flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup white sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons bread machine yeast
Filling:
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 1/2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
1/3 cup butter, softened
Place ingredients in the pan of the bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select dough cycle; press Start.
After the dough has doubled in size turn it out onto a lightly floured surface, cover and let rest for 10 minutes.
While dough is resting, mix cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl.
Roll dough into a 16x21 inch rectangle. Spread dough with 1/3 cup butter and sprinkle evenly with sugar/cinnamon mixture. (I have softened butter almost to the point of being melted and the recipe still turned out fine, but a nice soft spreadable butter is easiest to work with.)
Roll up dough and cut into 12 rolls. Place rolls in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Cover and let rise until nearly doubled, about 30 minutes.
While dough is rising, preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Bake rolls in preheated oven until golden brown, about 15 minutes.
While rolls are baking, beat together cream cheese, 1/4 cup butter, confectioners' sugar, vanilla extract and salt. Spread icing on warm rolls before serving. (I like to hold back a little icing to spread on the rolls after reheating in the microwave.)
Want to take them to a weekend event? No problem! I made these rolls and refrigerated them BEFORE final rising or cooking. Two days later, at a scrapbook retreat, I pulled them out of the fridge and let them sit about 30 minutes in the warm kitchen before baking. They raised just fine and tasted YUMMY!!
My baby brother used to train and fight with Lion's Den, you know, Ken Shamrocks place? I was alternately horrified and proud. IT's a theme between us I think LOL

I'd never thought to count views on my gallery but when I read about the 18,000 out of curiosity I checked and my HYCTT gallery postings got 7,458 hits. Not bad for someone who's not part of the Splitcoast "in crowd". It does make a major difference in hits and feedback when you do challenge cards.
That sounds like an awesome day Lynn!! And WOW on 7458!!! Bravo!!

if that's the same fight my hubby was watching it didn't even last 2 minutes.

Awesome! We had one too - but my hubby makes popcorn that is just as good in a plain old pot, about 1/2 cup of unpopped kernels with some canola oil lining the bottom

I think if I didn't have a 3 and 6 YO running around I'd be cool with that. But I like the lidded whirly.
i'd want to skip all that first step and just use bread machine mix. i don't have the energy to do all that.
i have a bunch of kale and don't know what to do with it. have any recipes that are easy, vegetarian, and sound as delicious as those cinnamon rolls i'm now craving? i'll probably try making kale chips, but... i'm open to ideas!

I was gonna suggest chips LOL
How bout a long slow saute with some red pepper flakes then mix it with ricotta for manicotti stuffing
so, I bought my parents one of those theater popcorn makers for christmas. when my 8 year old son came in from school on Friday, he flopped down with glee...thinking that the big box was for us! haha...but I had to tell him it was for his grandparents!
You know, Thanksgiving is my FAVORITE holiday, but I am SO looking forward to Christmas this year! I don't know why, I don't want to rush by my favorite holiday... maybe having the holiday movies and commercials on television early are to blame?
This stuff is so yummy, it is addictive.....I use vegetarian chorizo or no meat and it's still just as good. And I usually put a pile of rice in bottom of bowl before putting in soup.
In a large stock pot, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Add the garlic, onions, turnips and carrots and cook for 5 minutes. Add the kale, chourico, bay leaves, parsley and thyme and mix well. Add the beef stock, beans and tomatoes. Bring the soup to a boil, and then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes.
Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan, bring salted water to a boil and add the diced potatoes. Cook until tender, about 10 minutes. Drain the potatoes and add them to the soup.

My dd is out with a boy and my dh is having a heart attack over it!
I will be more than happy to wait for the kids to get interested in dating. But considering they already pretend they have girlfriends when they play I doubt I'll get that lucky.
In fact last night they were playing imagination games and this went down...I'll c&p from my fb status yesterday
So the kids are playing "surfing at the beach with our girlfriends" it involves stuffed animals, cardboard surfboards. a laundry basket car and lots of rules by Zach. In fact Zach's "girlfriend" is a little bossy too apparently cuz I just heard Jacob proclaim "Man your girlfriend is a pain in the ***!"
Hi Just got home; gone all day helping DD get ready to move. Just checked on winners...yea, 20 of them! How fun. Come over here and you are all talking about food. And here I thought we were all just "paper crafty". Hee, hee. Haven't made a card in days! Gotta get going for BRAK stuff, soon.
