Bleah - I'll swap house with you for a week.
We're meant to be going out on Friday night. Now, chances of rain are high and the windscreen wipers on the car aren't working and I doubt if DH's mechanic friend will have the car fixed for Friday if he's only picking it up tomorrow. So that means the motorbike, and most likely rain.
Not a fall recipe, but my kids love this smoothie...
1 pt Strawberries
2 Med Bananas (cut in 1 in pieces)
3 c Ice divided
1/2 c nonfat Strawberry or plain yogurt
1/2 c orange juice (I've also used Apple juice)
2 Tbsp Honey
Place all the ingredients in the blender EXCEPT 1 1/2 c of ice. Blend until mixed. Add remaining ice and blend until smooth.
My kids love this all year. Sometimes I just use frozen strawberries if I can't get fresh.

Now this usually comes out some baked apples and some apple sauce. We like it like that. DO NOT slice your apples thin. Slice like into 8 pieces otherwise you will really have applesauce. We like it better the second day and fight over the main big crunchy bit on the top.
I have a picture of the last one I made let me find it LOL
It sounds good. I don't have a surefire way of guaranteeing a crisp, crunchy topping except for the recipe I tried that has some eggwhite in the crumble topping, so I'll give this a go.
But your Granny Smiths go to apple sauce? They're the apple I buy if I want the slices to keep their shape in the finished dish.

Some of it does yes. Just enough to make the inside a little creamy. Hard to describe. But you don't want to slice this like you would for a pie.
hey since you're here I did something weird uploading my HYYCT1105 card and am getting dual notices of the (few) comments I get. How can I fix that? I"ve already tried the unsub to emails link
I want to work on some more of the challenges, but I'm so SLEEPY. I'm nodding off at my craft table and even two handfuls of M&M's hasn't turned things around.
Not getting to today's challenge today - too tired! Guess I'll do two tomorrow!
We are having drop dead gorgeous weather! Indian Summer at it's finest! Gotta enjoy it while it lasts since winter's on it's way (at least in my neck of the woods)....

M&Ms are my energizer bunnies too. Whenever I have to do tedious work for hours on end or late into the night, I keep a small bag of M&Ms nearby. Small bag - because if I had a large bag, I'd eat 'em all!
Victoria, I hope you don't think I'm living on another planet, but who is the guy in your avatar photo? My excuse being that I've been living outside the U.S. for 25 years!!
Bridget - thank you for asking - I didn't know who he was either and I've been living the in states for my entire life ...

Grins, I didn't know either, till the last time somebody asked, but I thought it was just because we don't have TV. It's reassuring to know that I could have TV and still be clueless, LOL.
Hmm, if sending cards in to MDA gives Lydia such a great feeling I wonder should I try to see how many cards will fit in a package that I DON'T need to go and queue in the post office with .
Maybe I need to start using click n ship. It takes me a long time to get "things mailed" just b/c I don't like doing errands. Does Click N Ship process first class things? Or just priority?

Yes! You can't do some weird things but I ship all my stuff online. You can even make them come get it.

I believe we can now get parcels collected from the house - but only for delivery in Ireland - not so useful. But I must remember it at Christmas when the post offices are all mad busy and I do have Irish parcels to post.
Hi everyone... I've trying to catch up on all the chatter here & printing out the recipes! I've done a few of the challenges, haven't uploaded them yet... trying to decide if I'm happy with them or not yet!! I am still behind several. Some days it's hard for me to get to my craft desk because of my headaches, and that really aggrivates me! But I have a dr. appt this coming Monday in Dallas, so here's to fingers crossed that I get new meds & I can zip right through those that I am behind on & catch up!!! I have learned so much from reading this thread! I want to meet everyone now!
Hi! My name is Barb and I live in Texas! Hee-hee!!!! And, I like to make people laugh!
Hi Barb! Glad to meet you. I'm also in Texas. Don't agonize over the cards you've made - I'm sure they're great - just upload them so we can ooh & ahh over them. I hope you will find a solution to your headaches.

Hello Everyone! This is Crafty Julia. I have just mailed my cards for the challenges and am caught up, this is such an amazing and inspiring journey! I lost my dear Aunt Noni to cancer after 3 bouts, and I think of her every time I start a card- would Aunt Noni enjoy this? Have a wonderful day!

I'm officially behind as my children did not want to cooperate and let me stamp last night for Jimmi's challenge. I do have one nestie piece cut out though and I have the stamp picked out.
you know what I meant.
Lucky me to get the two kids on the whole planet that don't sleep in. Next summer I'm covering their windows with cardboard LOL
Sadly I know of one other kid who doesn't seem to need sleep. How many 9 year olds do you know who set their alarm for 6am even though the bus doesn't pick them up until 8am? Sleep is not a priority with him.
