OK please don't get the impression the house is spit spot. We did get the kitchen and living room cleaned up swept and mopped. THe boys rooms were picked up but we still have to wash and put away loads of laundry.
And I was in too much back pain to even tackle the bathroom. It needs a really good scrub down. I did spray it all with lysol just to get thru the day LOL
AHHHH... I am BEAT! But in a good way... been stamping all day (well, from like 3 pm until 11 pm) to catch up on the HYCCT challenges. Still behind, but made good progress. Looking forward to another fun-filled day of stamping tomorrow.

Ok, Here I am again late. But not going to stay up so late tonight. I went out with some stamping friends to a craft show today and we were gone way longer than I expected we would be so I only got two cards done today and only one of those was for a challenge. Haven't got it uploaded yet, but I did upload 5 this morning before leaving for the show. I think I still have three to catch up and they are the ones I just can't get inspired on. Except for today I think the challenge will be lots of fun. Just have to go look and see what I can find to fit the categories.
I don't know how all of you who work full time and have kids to look after find time to do the challenges and keep up with the chat. Maybe I'm just slooooow in my older (not old) age. I used to do it all and burn the candle at both ends, but can't do that so much any more. I actually said no to something today too. Told them sorry I just don't have enough time and energy to commit to it right now.
Cindy, glad you found the challenges and that you are going to try to have some fun with this. It is really nice to chat with everyone and get to know people a little.
You have such a wonderful attitude about what you have gone through. And I admire you for thinking about your friend and her daughter - what a wonderful tribute to her, to make cards in her honor. I'm sure she will be there giving you inspiration.
Better get going, I still have a newsletter to type for church tomorrow.
I've just accepted that I'm not going to stay on top of these challenges the way I would like to? No matter how many I catch up, I'm always 2 behind. And believe me this would never happen in a million years if I wanted it to...but I'm finding that I've combined challenges when I wasn't even trying to. Funny I couldn't master that skill on the DTGD11 challenges where combining was allowed! I'm beat. Been stamping all day and there is a cup of tea and a prescription sleep aid with my name on it
Hi all. I am a couple challenge behind as well, and a few more behind in uploading. Apparently I fried my laptop hard drive. So I guess I will be computer shopping. I have a work laptop that I can use a little to check out the challenges, but I will probably have to wait for the new computer to upload cards. I'm definitely going to keep stamping, though, because I need the stress relief!

Congratulations on saying no - it's not easy but sometimes it's just what we need to do.
And not doing something ourselves because it's easier to do it than ask someone else to do it. I got so tired of unpacking DH's sports bag that a couple of weeks back I warned him that if he didn't do it that night, the stuff wouldn't get washed the next day. Roll on to the end of the week and he wanted to pack it for football the next day and all his stuff was still in it and unwashed.
I've run out of white envelopes - and they only had manky cheap manilla ones when I was in the supermarket last week.
Well, I'm completely behind. Totally. Haven't done any challenges.
Except in my head.
So today, since I actually get a half day "off" I plan to do quick sketches of what is in my head and make 5 cards. I would say more, but then I'd feel miserable for not making them.
And tomorrow, since I get another half day "off" I plan to do 5 more. Hopefully that will get me close to caught up. Make me feel better, anyway!
But I have been faithful in reading ALL the posts in this thread and most of the others ! Maybe if I'd get off the computer I'd get more accomplished!
Ok-- I *think* I'm caught up as long as I get today's finished today... HOWEVER, I really need to redo the collage one... that one was a huge challenge for me, and I'm not convinced that I met the challenge.. LOL
How is everyone? We took the kids to a pumpkin patch yesterday. We got 3 pumpkins and then went to the play area and stopped at the petting zoo (Cows, horses, pigs, goats, sheep, and a donkey) and then DD ate her very first caramel apple and then they played in and on the haybale maze... They had fun... stressed me out at times, but the smiles in the pictures make it worthwhile!!!
Clean house!?!?!? uh, well, around here that only happens during off gardening season...I'd rather be outside any day of the of the week....so guess next week I clean as I'm putting the garden to bed for the winter this week-end.....UGH!!! does anyone know of a magic spell to get it done fast???? I hate cleaning....prob. because my version of clean is to take everything out, move the furniture, wash the curtains, shampoo the carpets...etc....can't seem to do anything halfway...
well, I'm only down 2 counting todays, just have to get them posted after I have my fun bonding time with the rototiller.....y'all have a good day
9:08 and the bathroom is cleaned, kids are fed, laundry started and *gasp* DH is still in bed.
I've worked out the to do list for the week and already shifted things off today. I really don't want to drive a town over, fight for parking and look for a vampire cape when I can do it later in the week when it's not so busy. I might also push off grocery store until tomorrow and do it all ALONE!
Once hubby is up and can move furniture in the bedroom I'm going to start painting the trim and baseboards and get that done.
But right now I think I'll clear off my desk, finish a few cards and gripe with my friends about the remake of Footloose
Honestly I *think* they were thinking we're all of the age now that we wanna take our kids to see the movie that we all were kind of addicted to for a summer. In reality everyone I know is hella steamed about it.
I'll be looking for a copy of the original to share with my kids thankverymuch #everythingsbetterwithbacon

It's disturbing - we need a little more originality in Hollywood. It's like when they keep the price of a can of corn the same but put two fewer ounces of corn in the can. All the creativity is done and they just crank out a cheap copy.
Friday I went out for dinner and drinks with a few classmates. We're coming up on our 20 year reunion next year. EVERY ONE of use was viscerally offended by the remake and even worse the remaking of the music. And one of us is a dude! lol A dreamy tattooed hilarious dude *swoon* LOL

Feel free to pop on over and move my furniture and dust
I don't have carpet or curtains so I'm really saving you a ton of time.
Victoria Justice is doing one of the duets. She's like 16 LOL
Maybe the cast of iCarly can remake Breakfast at Tiffany's OHHHHHH *maybe* there can be a cameo and they'll rename it Breakfast at Tifanny Amber Thiesen's

I think that is the ONLY Audrey Hepburn film I don't like (even including that weird road trip one with all the Mary Quant style fashion), so this I would be OK with. But as for the remake of Sabrina, oh no, no, no, no!
Now, Sabrina...are you talking about the Audrey Hepburn Sabrina or the Julia Ormond Sabrina. Actually both were great. But remakes today????? That's another story. Same with most sequels.

The Audrey Hepburn one is the one I grew up watching . I saw a trailer for the Julia Ormond one and decided no thanks. We don't go to the cinema all that often, it would take something better than that to get me there. Although I'm not averse to Harrison Ford!

My mind switched into 'combine challenges mode' with DTGD - and has not shut off yet. I find that I am looking at a bunch of my cards, since they fit more than one challenge and trying to decide which one to label it as, LOL!
OK.. I think I'm finally getting caught up. I have them all complete with the exception of the P.I.N.K. challenge (1115) by Patricia! wah!! ...and I have a ton of commenting to do. I'm going to be dreaming in pink tonight.. haha!!
Feel free to pop on over and move my furniture and dust

HEEHEE!! I have a reprieve though....don't have to clean next days off either as the blueberry plants that were supposed to be avail at garden center didn't get here so I'll just have to plant them end of week which pushes cleaning back another week....HEEHEE!!
I'm in a funk. I go into my stamp room and just stare at the stuff. Nothing. I've got nothing! Waaaahhhhh

I like them both. That young (well, he was then!) Mr Ford is well worth watching ! Even though they changed Sabrina's occupation from cooking school to work at a magazine, they did a great movie!
Well, I beat my goal for today! I got 8 challenges done today. Now I'm just 8 behind ! I've got a few more sketched out, so tomorrow I'll have a good start.

As a cookery school graduate, how could they do that!!!!
