I have to tell you all --- I'm really enjoying this experience! I look forward to seeing each day's challenge, reading this chatty thread, checking the gallery...

I always shied away from doing challenges - low self-esteem, I guess LOL! I enjoy the stretch of not CASEing each card I make. Thanks to Lydia for giving me a little pep talk before I started. I'm glad I plunged in and hope to participate in most of the challenges, if not all.

But I am getting a little tired of pink LOL!!!! Just kidding...kinda.

HAHAH - well you don't have to do any pink for the next few.

I have to catch up - I think I'm missing three so far.

I'm going to change the tracking sheet tomorrow to make it easier for prize entries

I'm SO glad you joined us - it's so fun!!

Do you and your husband ever eat at The Depot Grille? They have a sister location near us. They have THE BEST ribs. Your location has an entrée they don't offer here - Blue Ridge Chicken. It's pretty awesome.

Did I miss some book chat! I still buy childrens books - I got a fabulous one in France. Some of the pages are vellum with the print on the vellum overlay, and beautiful illustrations on the page underneath, so you get the best of both worlds. It's a story about the woodland animals trying to plant a new forest when a wildfire burnt theirs down.
We have my sister staying with us for an interview with Google this afternoon, and I'm wiping and reinstalling my PC so I haven't had a lot of spare time in the last twelve hours. I'll be ready for a nice crafting break when today's challenge goes up.

Beautiful illustration AND poetic, beautiful words...gotta read this one to my kiddos! Thanks for sharing the link.

Some of you were talking about VA. I lived in the Hampton Roads area (Newport News) most of the 25 years my husband was in the Navy. We still miss it....everything but the traffic that is. We've been in Indiana 6 years now and small town, rural life has grown on me. I'll never forget what someone told my daughter when she said she missed the ocean. "Just stand in the corn fields, they sound like the ocean." Ummmm, not quite helpful to my 14yo daughter adjusting to the new setting.

1101C, 1103 and 1106 are posing problems for me.

I can't believe you've been to Gloucester. No one ever knows where it is. I love going to the Daffodil Festival.

I just went to AC Moore today. Next time you plan to come, let me know and maybe I can meet you there.

We have eaten at the Depot Grille. I can't remember what I ordere,d, but my husband had some oysters that were incredible. Have you ever tried Waterstone Pizza? It is also downtown, not to far from the Depot Grille. I would highly recommend you try it next time.

We need a VA SCS get-together. That would be fun!
