Mine did too! I just wish I remembered... I have a partial granny square completed and have no idea what to do with it, LOL!
Meredith -- that's how my grandmother taught me to crochet - making granny squares. And then I didn't crochet for years and years. When my grandmother passed away and we were packing up to go home for her funeral, I knew that I would have 8 hours in the car and countless hours sitting on some relatives' sofa, I knew I would go nuts if I didn't have something to do. And I felt this huge draw to crochet again. I don't know, maybe I just wanted a connection to my grandmother. I ran into Walmart and found a kit for a lapghan. It was just a big granny square. It came with written directions which I figured out while riding in the car. I finished it that weekend and more yarn - and haven't been without a project since. I find it very relaxing...as long as I don't have to count many stitches LOL!
I think it would come right back if you had the chance to practice a little...

My daughter has some projects planned when she returns from Mongolia Here's one! I'm amazed at what she can do....I never learned to knit or crochet so I've been no help to her. Here's a scarf she made for my son
wow - she's good!!

I have a question...I'm sure it's been answered at some point and time...but even though the challenges are over...can you still mail cards to the addy given? I know I didn't get a chance to upload cards...but I have quite a few that I would like to send.

I think there's only 69 or 70 people eligible for that fabulous grand prize! I can't wait to see who the lucky winner is!
I was poster 71, the last one to post my links by deadline. Unfortunately, some of my links were in wrong order. I tried to go in and fix them but by the time deadline rolled around I had only made a bigger mess, which makes me ineligible. Next year, I'm going to have everything done and posted at least a full day ahead of time. (famous last words! LOL)

WOW! That's fantastic!
I doubt it though - it was a long time ago and I really remember nothing. Maybe I will look for one of those kits though.

I just can't imagine that they wouldn't want cards at another time of year. I can't send mine for 3 more weeks, so they will be getting a batch from me in Deember. I just think anything that would boost their supply at any time would be a blessing. Surely they have patients year-round that need encouragement.

I'm making that little Ghiradelli box right now...it's so quick and easy and cute! I need to make several of these for all my sisses-in-law for Thanksgiving!

We had hotdogs, corn and greenbeans. Now dh is baking brownies. oh.. and I think I smell coffee. I also boiled some eggs for my ds.
We are still having the stew I made on Sunday evening. Gotta love leftovers! I made a fresh batch of extra broad egg noodles to go with it. Will probably finish it off for supper this evening.
