I use glue dots, brads if necessary, or even sometimes Ranger Glossy Accents (same as SU Crystal Effects). Just depends on what I'm sticking on and if I'm mailing it or not.

Good tip - I just push the flower to the glue dot and then apply to the card.

As I reading about glue dots not sticking I realized that I always put multiple glue dots on a flower unless I'm using a large glue dot. I also only buy the glue dots or SU brand - somewhere along the way I must have bad luck with Zots because I never buy them.

I use either Scotch Quick Dry glue or Fabri Tac by Beacon. I find that when I use Glue Dots on dimensional embellishments, the embellishments move around or rock back and forth.

I just had to get back to you all and let you know, I did take Jo's suggestion and try Crafters Pick glue. WOW! That is all I can say. I am totally impressed. This will be what I use from now on. I am so grateful for your response Jo. Love my flowers, now I can place them on my cards with confidence they will stay put. Thank you so much. I really encourage others having this problem to give it a try.

Crafter's Pick glue is on my list, but I haven't been able to find it. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I'm thinking of getting a glue gun. For those of you who use them, what kind do you have?

I do use a glue gun occasionally when I make cards. I had a little cheap, mini gun that I used. Then I saw a blog where someone used a mini gun that had a small tip, for detail work on cards. I was sold.

It is the Surebonder High Temperature mini glue gun. I think I found it at Joann's for about $8 or $9. It does work a lot better for detail work than the cheapie one I had.

I'm in Australia and bought mine online from a hobby shop ie: one that sells model kits like cars, planes etc. - so that really isn't much help. I just did an Internet search for the USA, and Michaels came up as having it. But I think it would be wise to ring ahead to see if your nearest Michaels has it to save a wasted trip. Hope this helps.

You can buy Crafters Pick glue at Michaels.. I got some today and used a coupon. It was almost free! :-) It is not with the scrapbook adhesive but several rows away in the area they sell ALL kinds of adhesives. I had to do some searching in the shelves but I did find it! Good luck...

Thanks, I will check it out when I'm back on the mainland---am "suffering" in Maui right now and really believe I need more "punishment" before I'm allowed to return home! Aloha.

Jeanne,

I am so jealous of you right now. Enjoy your time in the islands.

Aloha!

Tomorrow we say "Aloha" to the islands and return to the mainland. We have vowed to return before a year is up!

I use a hot glue gun. I find it sticks the best.
