Wow, It’s week two already, so here’s the second task for the challenge. If you didn’t start last week, you’ll need to go to this link for Task One.
Don’t know what a Progressive Challenge is? Go here to learn.
CHALLENGE TWO (July 2012) - TASK 2.
1. Open your page from Week 1. Add your photos to your page (however many you want.) Arrange them any way you’d like. You should have at least one photo on top of the background. (If you’d like, you may use the same photo that you used for the background again as one of the photos on your page.) 2. Add frames, borders or mats to at least one, if not all, of the photos. 3. Add a border to the page. That's it for today!
Save your page as a .jpg & upload to the Digiscrap Challenge Gallery-Progressive Scrap for July 2012 (Be sure to add keyword DGSCPR002Task2). Please also post this week’s work in this thread. Be sure to keep the original, unflattened page (layers intact). You’ll need to add Task 3 to it for the next step.
Reminder: When uploading your page to your gallery, on the Gallery Image Upload Page, choose the category “Scrapbooking/ Digital Scrapping” rather than “Scrapbooking/Progressive Pages,” since that “Progressive Pages” refers to a method of scrapping different from our progressive challenge.
Have fun! Don’t forget to leave some praise for your fellow challenge takers! Can't wait to see what everyone does with their pages this week!
finally i did something with my bird pictures. i do not take many photos, but i got this little point and shoot for xmas (long story, i asked for a really nice point and shoot. this one is not. my husband traveled a lot last year. during one of his trips he went to yosemite and found this camera on the trail, no one ever claimed it. on xmas eve my husband flys home and hands me this camera and said merry xmas. i asked if he was not even going to wrap it and then he explained how it came to be my xmas gift and he never even had to go to the mall, isnt that cool? and this is why i have started buying my own gifts) also to some degree explains why at 36 he'd never been married!
I recently subscribed to Photoshop Roadmap and this month's issue had a link to download Perfect Effects 3 for free. It's a smaller 25 effects version of the program that allows you to change your photos. It's supposed to work with Photoshop Elements 9 and 10 but I couldn't get it work directly in PSE. I probably downloaded it to the wrong place but it works independently and then I brought the pics into PSE. Pretty cool effects.
