I seem to be stuck in a CAS rut with the challenge cards - I had something a bit more decorative planned last night, but when it came to sitting at my desk this morning, this is what I ended up with. Simply Layers
Honestly, when I read the specifics for this challenge I thought "this is too difficult for me - I am a create-by-the-seat-of-your-pants papercrafter, I can't be creative and keep track of EXACTLY 4 layers and EXACTLY 4 embellishments..." Well, SURPRISE! I started out making this card for the HYCCT02A pink holiday card challenge and when I was finished I looked at it and thought "Hey... I have 4 layers... I only need to add one more embellishment and I have a HYCCT04 card!" So that is what I did. 'Pink holiday' is an easier challenge for me, I can make another card for that.
The four layers are:
1-Pixie Pink
2-Real Red
3-Pink Passion
4-Gina K. Luxury cardstock
The four embellies are:
1-Baker's twine
2-button
3-rhinestones (on the sides of the sentiment), and
4-dew drops
Thanks for the cool challenge and forcing the boundaries of my creativity. growth is good! I hope this card will make someone at the Anderson Cancer center happy.
I really enjoyed this challenge. Here's my Texas thinking of you card. My four layers are the white card base, the blue strip, the red square, and then the barbed wire Texas stamped on white. My four different embellishments are ribbon, the star glitter window, the red star brads, and the cowboy boot button.
I only had 31 cards completed and I knew that I did all of the challenges and then I remembered that I had not uploaded this one. Four by Four for Kelly!
