SU retirement predictions?

I just saw in an email that SU is discontinuing their watercolor crayons and pencils due to a supplier issue. It got me thinking that the full retirement list will be out soon. We know that all the patterned paper will be retired - it always is. Any anything else that has the retiring In Colors will go (ribbons, brads, buttons).

But what about stamps? Which current sets do we predict will not make next year's catty?

For one, I think that Delightful Decorations, along with the matching punch, will be gone and they'll put in the ornament set from the mini that was popular. It had matching framelits.

My demo also thinks several items from the freebie catalog will also be new.

Which doesn't answer the original question, I suppose. Not sure about retiring items, actually.

Actually, if I understand right, Twitterpated paper was a hold-over.

Plus, if you looked closely at your demo's fliers for the This & That scrapbook kit, you'd see that we are going to be able to keep Calypso Coral and Pool Party. Those colors will likely turn up in the regular line-up of colors. What they will be replacing is anybody's guess, and so is what other colors may be showing up as replacements in the regular color groups.

By the way, the retirement list comes out on the 24th of April.

Diane that makes me VERY happy!!! I ADORE Pool Party!!!! the Calypso Coral is also a GREAT color!!!!! YAY for good spying on the This & that!!!!! ;)

The Sale-A Bration catalogue where if you bought $50 of product, you could select a free item or package. It just ended.

The punch in the Sale-a=bration is now able to be purchased. Got email this week. Also just checked and the color revamp has been set. So if you want a discontinued color get it asap. when it is gone it is gone.

Yep, I just watched an SU video this a.m. on their color refresh-not a big one but I just bought Brights, Neutrals and Regals card stock paper packs as well as Pretty In Pink and Baja Breeze inks...:( Oh well, good thing I wasn't too attached yet!) I do very much like Baja Breeze (which is strange since blues are not my thing normally) so I will be getting the paper. And did you see that SU is offering free shipping for 3 days starting this Saturday?!

THe only thing returning from SAB is the punch. Nothing else will be back from that. They don't ever bring any of those things back except punches.

And yes, the twitterpatted paper and first edition DSP's carried over. That's a first for DSP that I remember. Most of it will probably go. I hope they keep the first edition again though!

I hope none of the stuff I haven't used much will retire...good luck with that one right? :-)

And I'm excited about the color changes! Lots of great colors returning!

Just got all the new ink pads and reinkers during saleabration. Returning colors I have ink pads already but not the new style but still happy about the colors coming back. I need to check to see if I have enough cardstock to the retiring colors now. Stamp club is coming soon. I guess I can never have enough Cardstock and ink pads. I still have the small pads from years back. I reink those for my great niece to use. She loves them.

ARGH! as a newly returned Demo I am buying the new ink pads as I can, and wouldn't ya know? I just got the Soft Subtles YESTERDAY.... lol Well, at least I have some REALLY pretty ink colors to sit around! ;)

Will be excited to see the new colors taking their place. Perhaps I should go log on and take a peek!

Wait, Certainly Celery is GOING AWAY??!! That is one of my go to colors. That and Gable Green. Although I do like Lucky Limeade. Hmmm. Wonder what the replacement will be. Gumball Green doesn't cut it for me.

Oh heck, I love Pretty in Pink! But I haven't used most of those other retiring colors in ages.Thank goodness I didn't buy more of the newer ink pads in some of those colors.

I'm not at all surprised at most of those colors going away, they were starting to look a bit stale. But I'm not parting with the retiring inkpads that I have, if I like the colors I keep them and use them.

However, I'm thrilled that Soft Sky is returning! WOO-HOO!!! I've been carefully rationing what I bought back in 2008 because I didn't want to run out of it.

Now, if they would just bring back Purely Pomegranate...

Yeah, I'm not saying it will carry over this year but I DID make a comeback from a mini last year. It also had blushing bride and pear pizzazz in it so it was shocking that it came back when those colors were retired.....

I don't expect to see it again this year but who knows if others will show back up again....

I will miss Certainly Celery; it is just about the perfect green IMO.

Probably the Ornament set with the matching punch since they now have the Framelits and matching stamp set.

Circle Circus has been around for years, but it still may be a best-seller like Lovely as a Tree.

I want another kitty set, I still use C is for Cat.

I actually like the Pear better-less yellow and not quite as bright. I do love Baja Breeze though and will miss the paper though I never did think the ink matched as well as I would like.

I held off on buying it for years because I was sure it was about to retire. Then, just when my family finally bought it for me, they brought it out in clear! Oh well, at least I have it now!

When will the retirement list for the stamps and accessories be coming out? I know that the retiring colors for inks and cardstock have been announced, but I haven't seen anything about the rest of the retiring items yet.

I heard April 24th, but I don't know if that's the day demos get it, or the day we get it. We usually get it the 1st day of the final month, which would be May 1

New Caty thoughts - I'm hoping for some sentimental sets. I've seen a lot of camera stamp sets out there. There's got to be a hexagon punch to go with everything.

I love pear lots...have not touched cert. celery since pp came out. Then pp retired and I compared it with cc and realized how close they were....I still love pear!

I really feel that pretty in pink needs to stay as it is a different shade of pink than the others, especially for babies. It is just like the blush, apricot and banana and the soft browns they got rid of. I did buy a couple of packages way back and am coming to an end. Celery is my favourite green next to old olive but if Pear is close it will work. I am not going to get the inks because the old inks will work for what I do with them, mostly distressing around the edges. I always get excited for the new catalogues but a little anxious for things disappearing.
