Looks like there is a great spot in Sundre, Rustler's Lodge. Bright scrapping rooms, lovely lodge, comfy rooms, pool and hot tub and they feed us! All for $195 each. We need a minimum of 10 for a weekend. We can go up to 18. If we have a few more than 10 we get all the bedrooms. Check out the website www.Rustlers-Lodge.ca

Debbie's out. We have a family wedding in Vermilion that weekend. And yes, right now I am sitting in the Arizona rain ??? But has been really nice the last few days. Coming home on Monday. Been here 2 1/2 months, so am ready to see my family.

I am booking the lodge this weekend so looks like it's a go - HURRAY!
We do need to have at least 2-3 more people as the minimum is 10. So if you know of anyone that would enjoy the weekend and put up with us, please extend the invite!

Still waiting for my DH to make his vacation plans so I know whether I am driving across Canada to Ontario during this time or not. I know that doesn't help the planning, but I am doing what I can to get our vacation plans finalized.....

Another amazing day here in the Fraser Valley, all the windows open and it's still warm! Around 21C even now at 6.45p.m. Wouldn't want it any warmer or I'd have to stay indoors!!
Ruth I will send you the retreat info. So glad you can make it! I can try to pick you up at the airport. I have to work that day till mid afternoon so let me know what the flights are like.
Looks like everyone can pay their bill when they are there so no money needs to be sent to me prior to the weekend, but thanks for those that have asked and Christine who sent hers into me already!
I am going to try and post the booking bed plan on here so everyone can pick and choose who or how or where they would like to sleep - looks like lots of options so everyone can be comfortable. UPDATE (Couldnt post the booking bed plan on here so check your email!)

Can everyone post if they have any food allergies? Kelly from the Lodge is doing meal planning for us. Looks like she sets out a simple breakfast early of muffins, cereals etc., and then when everyone is up (some of us even dressed!) then she does a late brunch of yummy things then dinner around 5:30 ish...she is more than open to adjusting times as we would like and will do whatever we want for dinner and lunch so...send your ideas and I can pass on to Kelly.

Oh - meant to tell you I found 3L "red" tape at the Red Deer Home Sense for $6 a 2 pack. I bought the last 2 packages. Maybe they have some in calgary?

I found Black Forest bakery at Crossroads market in Calgary on the weekend!! They were at the Calgary Farmer's Market, beside the Shooting Edge on Blackfoot but now they've moved to my favourite farmer's market instead. Alas, they didn't have those lemon pistachio cookies .... I asked. And will keep on asking too
If any others want to come they have to lug an air mattress or something equivalent as our group prefers to all sleep alone, no snugglies!
I have the allergy or food preference list to share with Kelly at the lodge as follows ~
No coconut, curry, beef, mushrooms, and all butter, marg and mayo to be served on the side

I am afraid the snow may be because we are planning Christmas cards? Heaven forbid I start planning Baby Shower invites! I think I will start on some nice wedding cards first.
I am so pleased to be asked and to be able to attend the retreat in June. I have never replied to a thread on Split coast before so I don't know how this will work. I was wondering if we are doing the bag thing again this year? Just wanted to get a good start if we are. Looking forward to seeing you all, Rose

Any other planned in 2013? Please keep me in the loop. This weekend doesn't work for me :( DD has her preschool graduation the 14th, her birthday party the 15th, and then we're up to Calgary and fly up to the Yukon on the 16th!

It is really because she didn't want to hang out with her big sister that weekend. So Robin will you let me hover around your table and borrow things!!!!!
Will miss our sister weekend but am excited to visit with my scrappin sisters!!:grin:
Trying very hard to get things sorted so that I can come but there maybe some complications depending on the date of DH's day procedure. Hopefully he can get the date changed to May 31st but waiting on the surgeon to come back from holiday! Thought I had everything in place to get my weekend away! He's just had his at the Mensa AGM/Conference in Niagara Falls!!!
