Default SU New Photopolymer (Clear) Stamp Set

How does everyone like the new Photopolymer stamp Set. I did a video comparing the rubber and the Photopolymer and I really like the crispness of the photopolymer but I could not string the letters close enough to put a word on the blocks and stamp a full word. The bases seem to be bigger than the letters. I do like them.
Just wondering what others are thinking about them?

Just tried mine out after seeing your post--I have had them a couple of days now. My interest in this set 1--to see SU clear stamp set--good quality 2--I was interested in the flag banner and spelling out words on that so for what I want I am very very happy with SU very first Photopolymer clear stamp set --hope they do many many more!! Will be anxious to see what others think.

I think they are awesome, I too could not stamp the letters in a string but found out I could do every other one and fill in without any problem. I love the way you can bend the pennant banner and arrows. They do stain if you use a red ink and then go answer the phone and come back and try to clean them. I can't wait to see what the next set will be.

A customer ordered it so I've seen it, but haven't gotten one yet for myself. It looked cute and I especially like the little banner!

Here's the gallery links to Designer Typeset, if you want to see it in use.

I like them. I find it's much easier to stamp each letter individually to make words. It's pretty easy to get them lined up right since you can see right through! I thought it might take a long time but really it goes pretty quick!

OK I have been using them all morning I found a few things. They do pick up color I have most of my letters a tint of red. used Primrose Petal with them. I used more mustard with the bubble and it is yellow. I tried to bend the pennant stamp and if you bend it to much it will not stamp totally. I think I lost the t it is on the floor and I have to go back down and hunt the carpet for it. I dropped it and can't find it. Still liking them. I will have to do an updated video on them when I get all the secrets worked out.

They do stain a little but I doubt they can do much about that. Mine would probably stain less if I cleaned my stampin' scrub lol!

They all stain, but it doesn't affect the stamping. I have SNSS stamps and they work very well, even though stained.

Why is it a bad thing if the stamp is stained? It seems to be a big deal how much staining is on a stamp and I never understood that. On clear stamps, I almost prefer a stain because it makes it easier for me to find it in the case.

For me it's not a "bad thing" just annoys me as I'm OCD, lol! And that is a good point...maybe I can find them easier when I drop them if they are stained, lol!

And now I really DO need to wash my scrub pads :-)

The degree of staining matters. Most of my stamps have a slight tinge, which I don't mind-- it is just the nature of the product. But some inks stain the stamp to where you cannot see through it anymore, and that sort of defeats the point, kwim?

I don't know about SU clear stamps, but with CTMH stamps, if you first use a lighter color it will grab that color. Then when you stamp with something darker, after cleaning, they'll have the lighter color staining, rather than a darker color. Stamping first with Versamark also helps.

Thanks in advance.

Oh...well, that makes perfect sense! I am new as new can be when it comes to clear stamps so I had not thought of that at all So glad you gave that explanation

I believe someone said they are not in clear mount cases. More like the clear packaging you find the clear stamps in in stores.

The photopolymer stamps come in a clear packaging bag (and not a DVD style stamp case). I have extra DVD cases, so that's how I'm storing mine.

They come in a plastic bag and are in between to sheets of plastic/acetate type sheets.

I like clear mount stamps and I guess I was under the impression that the higher quality clear stamps from well known companies were the photopolymer material. Are they not? What's the difference between photopolymer and clear acrylics?
