My doc will be happy because we have been talking about a walker since last year...I know I only need it on bad days right now but I will have the peice of mind knowing it is there when I need it.
So glad you are able to take advantage of the opportunity to get the devices at a reduced price. I kept my Mom's walker and her "transportation chair" after she died, knowing that they might come in handy some day. A few weeks ago when I smashed my little toe (all better now), I used the walker around the house. I used her walking stick when I went to church. When it comes to mobility, I'm willing to stuff my pride in a sack and just use whatever helps.
