2 words: Quilling Tool! Does exactly what this video needed to hold the paper in place while you twirl it! Cheap $4 Michaels, ACmoore or Quilling Superstore on line sell em! There's a small slit at the top of the metal part of the tool and it holds the paper/cardstock in place. If your card stock is "too thick" you simply widen the slit a bit--I have my trusty Quilling tools right here for stuff like this!
