On my brand new coral jeans. I picked up the ink pad and dropped the ink side down right on the thigh... Why can't this happen when my stamping I my pajamas?
Any suggestions in how to get it out? I knew alcohol wouldn't work, but I tried it anyways. I also tried spray and wash, but it's still there.
Did you wash it after hitting it with spray and wash, or are you just hoping the spray and wash would get rid of it?
If you haven't actually thrown it in the wash, I would give it a go-- it should be water soluable but you may need the agitation of the machine. Cold/cold, on gentle, and don't put it in the dryer until you're ready to give up.
Chem Dry Spot Lifter. It's for upholstery. Test on a hidden area first.
Despite all the good suggestions, I think you might have to get yourself some black fabric ink and stamp all over those jeans. Could look pretty! ;-)!

Thanks for the suggestions! I treated with spray and wash then detergent then washed and the stains faded a little bit. I have Dawn on them now and if that doesn't help I'll try lemon juice and put them in the sun for a little while.

I haven't read any of the links above to know if you got lemon juice and sunshine from one of them, but I'd be a little afraid of that combo ruining the coral dye...
so I wanted to also suggest shout in the blue bottle which I think is formulated for set in stains. (I don't know why I didn't think of that the first time around, since it's the stain treatment I have in my own cupboard.)
I do not know if the links people have given have left this advice. I always try hairspray the cheaper the hairspray the better it is. I even pour it on (do not get near open flame) It has always worked for me.
Grandma's Secret Spot Remover. I find it on the cutting counter at Hobby Lobby's fabric section in a little bucket $3.99 and use a coupon or by the register at AC Moore.
Did the same thing with a Palette ink on khaki slacks - and Goo Gone got it out. I had to work it in with a toothbrush, let it sit, rinse it out and repeat that a few times, but it did come completely out.
Why I used to work at Starbucks and had black Sharpies blow up in my pocket the best thing I found to work was spraying the ink with Aqua Net (aerosol int he purple can) and then a Spray and Wash stick. Be careful not to spray too much Aqua Net on it (or spray into something and rub it on the stain) because it would leave a "ring" on lighter fabrics for a few washes.
Milk
To remove ink stains from colored clothes, an overnight milk bath will often do the trick. Just soak the affected garment in milk overnight and launder as usual the next day.
Following this thread and love the advice. I've tried all of these but one time I had lip stick smeared all over a rug and a stick of spot remover literally wiped it off as I went. It was deep dark red that my little darlin smeared on the rug. All that lipstick came right off!
Have your tried the spot remover from Pinterest that is Dawn, Hydrogen Peroxide and water in a spray bottle? It's amazing with blood... and I have been using it on everything lately that has a stain. I too did the exact thing with Versafine Black Onyx... it flipped upside down on my best light colored jeans. I used a variety of things...and got it out but I agree, cheap hairspray will get allmost any ink stain out!!!
I hope you have luck with all these solutions. For me, I had to start making myself wear an apron as I have been known to have ink, paint and other stuff land on my lap so it really saves my clothes. I hated the idea, but now it is second nature to me.
I was in a class at my LSS and the instructor dropped a black stamp pad that hit my thigh and managed to drop to the floor coloring my pants the whole way down. It was Memories brand that is even difficult to get off stamps, but she grabbed a bottle of Memories stamp cleaner, soaked a paper towel in it and wiped it over the stain. It came out as she wiped. Needless to say, I bought a bottle on the spot---pun intended!

I have a big old craft/decorating t-shirt. Bleach/ink/paint -it used to be green... not so much now. :lol:
