Glue n seal comes in glossy or matte, for use under the paper?
I'm not sure what your question is but, yes, it comes in both matte & gloss. They both work as glue. If you seal something with it, use which one you want for desired finish.

Some of the brands use cardboard to make their boxes that are a really pretty caramel-y kraft instead of the grayer type. These are fabulous used as mats or "natural" diecuts - especially if you sponge the edges with Vintage Photo distress ink. I think the ones I've used were from cake mixes and gingerbread snaps. I usually use Royal Coat decoupage medium.
Good ol' fashion rubber cement! It's cheap, goes on smoothly, gives you a minute to "adjust" the decorative paper if need be and never "bubbles" the paper! If you can put up with the slight "stink factor"...it works every time! I always keep rubber cement glue on hand--kids projects for school and any altered item--works great!

It is my intention to make a die storage folder (as shown by a lovely member on here) using cereal boxes covered with pretty papers. I'll be using mod podge.
No cereal box is safe in my house! I have been known to wait patiently while someone fills his bowl with the last bits of cereal! I also use the white inside packaging from pantyhose for die-cut easels that I enclose with my cards. Also great for templates and patterns. No piece of cardboard is safe around me! LOL
Yeah, neat to see so many people who use cereal boxes for their chipboard. Even when I scrapbook (occasionally), I don't necessarily use all acid-free, politically correct stuff. I figure it is just as safe as if it were stored in my shoebox, which is where it would otherwise be. Way to go, recylcers...(new word?)
I couldn't craft without cereal box cardboard. I was just reminded that when I need a box before it is empty, I just move the bag of cereal to another half full box so I don't have to wait! I use the cardboard for patterns and templates as well as craft with it.
I just used a 3D die to cut out 35 pop ups from 2 DiGiorno pizza boxes that are a nice kraft brown. I like using this weight for pop ups instead of card stock. Now I have to go out and get more pizza! (Oh what we sacrifice for our art!)

I have used Cereal boxes as shims in my Cuttlebug, and also I made my own embossing plate...die cut hearts (for example) out of cereal box in same size or different sizes, then tape (2sided tape) or glue them to another full piece of cereal box..then place cardstock on top and run through embossing machine..You may need to practice with scraps of CS first to see how it works for you and if you need more shims on your plates..hope this makes sense>>>!
A good coat of spray adhesive; I pile a couple of encyclopedias on it for a few minutes. Then I cut whatever shape I'm using.

This is my first time on folks!! Has anyone made a mini scrap book from envelopes and cards? I read Kathy Orta's tutorial, but I wonder if it's really strong? Does anyone have an easy one for a first time try? I do lots of 6x6 chipboard books but am board with them. Thanks,
We d not eat packaged food, so I don't have such a source, but no cardboard paper pad backing is ever left attached (even before the paper is used up) and any other cardboard that comes for other sources is kept and used.

I've done this, too! I've done one with bats and one with hibiscus. I first heard about this on Mel's awesome blog and followed her tutorial HERE.
