I bought some wire racks from Dollar Tree in the hopes that I could make them into racks for some of my ink pads. They were too small for some brands, too large for others, so I re-geared my thought process. I recently purchased all twelve of the Spectrum Noir six-packs that AC Moore sells, and made a rack for them with my purchase instead. I overlapped the "legs" on the racks as shown and taped them together, then cut thin cardboard (I actually used the backing sheets from SU! paper packs) and taped them to the wire "skeleton". It works perfectly! The last pic shows where it sits on my shelf next to my still-unracked ink pads...
In you last pic. I saw your ink pads and was wondering you store them on/in.
Thank-you,
connie
Thanks, ladies, for your kind comments! Sadly, right now my ink pads are just stacked up on top of each other in CD crates from the craft store. I'm still brainstorming a solution that doesn't cost much (I'm cheap like that). I'd post a pic but the camera batteries are in the charger right now
Sue, that is genius storage for your markers! You are a girl after my own heart. I just hate to spend much money on organizational items. And, especially since no one ever sees my storage but me, ha!
Your solution is more elegant than what I am currently using for the new Spectrum marker sets I bought. I have them sorted by color standing on end in large empty yogurt containers.

Great idea! But I just got rid of several of these after they've been sitting unused in the garage for 9 years! You just didn't post this soon enough for me!

HA! That's usually what happens over here at my house - a day late and a dollar short!
