Can someone explain this to me (the this and that kit) Some one told me it is for a smash book, but I don't really understand what it is for. I am wanting to make a wine journal and was wondering if this would be good for it?
Have you seen Smash books? Where you aren't doing the formal-style layouts like a 12x12 scrapbook page, but you're journaling, doodling, pasting in ticket stubs, slapping in pictures on the fly?
The Stampin' Up version could be used like a smash book or a more traditional journal if you wanted. You can decorate the cover and it has accessories with the journal. It will be released tomorrow, so pictures and more information can be shared then.
Makalah probably has the info up now too, but just wanted to say pictures, prices and iinfo are up on my blog.
These are great. It is like pinterest in paper form. You can add anything you want to it, tickets, receipts, pictures and more. I think it would be great for a wine journal! I have a girl wanting to do one for planning a cruise and one that said she is going to use it to put ideas in for her new house.
I am completely excited about this! I don't think I am the smash book type of person, but I would love to try the supplies in a Project Life style scrapbook!!!
I have never been into the smash book thing, mainly because I like my things neat. Well, my desk has all these little notes to myself, card sketches, notes my granddaughter leaves on my desk~~lots of little things. So I am purchasing This and That for my desk. From now on, I will use this as a means of getting a neater desk top and a place I can go to without shuffling things around to get what I am looking for. Well, that's the plan anyway--lol.

That's a great idea, call it your "organizing binder". ;)
I'm getting the rotary stamp for sure. I had a date stamp from an office supply store that went out of date ages ago, so I've been wanting a new one. And it's a good price, with all those verses. Like the DSP too. I'm also not into smash books and prefer a cleaner look, but who knows?
Can someone tell me if it could work for a beginner's scrapbook? I am a card maker but thought maybe I could try my hand at making a mini scrapbook with my 3 year old grandson's pictures. Large scrapbook pages kind of intimidate me to try to fill up.
I think it would be great for a beginner! The pages are already patterned, so that takes a lot of the work out. It's probably a bit too big to carry in your purse (depending on the size of your purse of course) if that is what you're looking for.
Thank you Jana for your reply! I was thinking about making it up and then giving it to my daughter for her birthday in July! That is, if it passes my approval and I can do it!Think I will put it on my April 24th order!

I think it would be perfect for beginners! I am loving mine!!! Using as a diet and exercise journal, starting April 1st. And I've lost 3 pounds! So I must be totally motivating my scrapping/journaling the progress, lol.
Some of the This and That supplies make adorable cards, too! Don't rule out card-making with the Epic Day supplies. You don't have to get the journal and the bundle if you really don't think you'll use it.
I must be the odd man out because I just don't care for these. Ive used a plain old sketch book and that's worked fine. I don't care for the rotary stamp either, but I am interested in the washi tape. I guess I'm kind of surprised to see SU coming out with something that's already out. Most of their things are new and innovative, this seems like they are trying to catch up.

Just received the bundle from my SU rep last night, and I absolutely love it! It's so well done - better than a Smash book! Much more versatile. Haven't decided on a theme; it may be random, but I'm going to use dies, punches, stamps - maybe stencils & modeling paste. May use Pan Pastels on the cover. I love the 12x12 papers - wonderful patterns, more muted colors.
