Reason: Error in swap instructions.
I don't want to sound silly, but is the Anything But a Card a completed item for each participant, or a kit that they will complete. The wording is different than at other shoeboxes I have been to. Thanks, can't wait to come.

I am in the Twin Cities and MapQuest indicates it is a 3-4 hour drive. I am not able to drive anymore so will have to run this one by dh to see if he would feel like a road trip for the day with one dog and a puppy to entertain somewhere.
somebody please e-mail me the registration form because both of my computers refuse to open it.... wonder if my husband can while he is at work?... either way I want to come but need the form.
Thanks to anyone that helps,
Mel :p

Joan - several of us have been wanting to get to EauClaire for a weekend of stamping - that'd be a great time for you to join us OR you get a Shoebox together and we'll road trip over to the twin cities. My employer (Brenntag) has an office in St. Paul so I get there a couple of times per year - on my last trip I discovered that you folks have many more stamping stores and stamping/scrapping retreat places than we do in S.E. Wisconsin!

Eau Claire would be awesome. I have never done a Shoebox before. I looked in to some retreats and so far have not found one handicap accessible. I use a walker - I can't even get in the front door.
Have any of you been here? I hear it is a great place.
Hi, Joan! We'd love to have you. (I am co-hosting this with Jen, but was in Hawaii for three weeks and my mom passed away Saturday. Hopefully life will return to normalcy soon!) Anyway, there is a nice DOG PARK very near the facility where we are having the event. Also, I have never, ever even been to a shoebox, but they sounded like soooo much fun that I worked with Jen (whom I have never met) to organize one in central Wisconsin. Diane V. was a great source of info and very helpful in terms of registration forms, etc. I am sure you'd have tons of people sign up in the greater MSP area! P.S. Our location is TOTALLY handicapped accessible. (It's being held in my mom's former assisting living facility, which is beautiful and has a very lovely activity room with full kitchen, etc.).
Thanks so much! I need to check with dh about the June date and see if he would be up to playing chauffeur for that day. I would like to attend one before hosting.
I am so very sorry to hear about your Mom's passing. May you find comfort in your memories and feel her love surrounding you at all times.
Getting together my ideas of what I want to make and waiting for May 25th to get the totals.
Hi Robyn! I, too, am thinking about ideas. I have my "anything but a card" item planned out and started working on them last night even though I am not sure how many I need to make (awaiting final count on May 25). My item is fairly unique and is something that EVERYONE can use. They take a lot of time to make, but I LOVE to create and it's been good "therapy" for me after a long day (my mom passed away 10 days ago and I have tons of things on my plate as I was her only child). I am making an emboss resist puzzle card for the shoebox swap -- just haven't decided on a design or colors yet!!!!
Got my form PRINTED!! YAY :-D It's filled out and ready for the mail with check inclosed. Participating in both.
Thanks for joining us! I had a busy weekend (dragging dh along with me) to use discounts and coupons to scope out "deals" so we can have lots of nice doorprizes and party favors!
Michaels has the BEST clearance sale going on right now! Sweet boxes that are SU blue 60 % off (hint hint;-) ) Plus pretty much the intire store is 40 -60 % off. I was just at the on in Madison yesterday.

I was at the Wausau Michael's on Sunday for the first day of the sale! Bought many "smaller" items at 40% off. DH and I each went through the checkout with a 40% coupon for "larger" prizes I wanted to get for the shoebox swap that WEREN'T on sale. Jen and I are trying to figure out how much $$$$ we will have to work with. Jen and I both have our eagle-eyes focused on good buys! The more prizes, the merrier!

Just a reminder of this upcoming event; we still have room for more stampers! Jen and I are busy buying cool prizes and are putting together a delicious lunch! Hope you can join us. Registration closes on May 25.
I still have this as a possibility but am thinking that if anyone does one more on the western side of WI (EauClaire) it would make it much easier for me to get there.
