Printer suggestions

Hey all,
I'm sure this question has been asked many many many times but I never really gave it much thought because of course at the time I had no need to know about different printers.
Anyhoo.....I am looking to buy a new printer because the one I have honestly blows! I bought a Kodak c310 because it being a local company brand and trying to support the local business is what was important at the time (still important but need to look elsewhere). So I'm wondering what your all time favorite printer is or was and what you would recommend. I like to be able to print vintage pictures from the internet and have them look as if they were almost real.

I have 2 Brother printers. One is laser and the other is inkjet. Both are great for printing and coloring digis with alcohol markers (the laser for any paper, I use the inkjet for printing color only but it's a little pickier about what paper to use but also good for digis with the right paper). Each was under $100 at Staples and ink cost was another factor for me when I made the decision to go with this brand. I did some research on printers and paper and posted about it on SCS if you're interested, I'll send you the link.

I have always liked the HPs. We now have an HP Photosmart 5520, which is wireless and lets me print from anywhere - including my cell phone and tablet - even when I'm not home. The prints are great quality, too. Here's the link: HSN

Sorry I took so long. The link I mentioned is probably irrelevant now that I read it again.

But I honestly don't know about how well it prints Vintage pictures the way you want it. The photo printer suggested above may make a better choice since photo printers are made for giving the best quality without killing you on the cost of ink. My brother printer prints pictures well but the ink is very sticky if you want a good quality photo, it takes a day or two to actually dry.

Another suggestion I have is to take something you want to print to a store where you can print your own photos, if you have a store close by, it may actually be cheaper. CVS has 5/$1.00 for 4x6 specials all the time.

I like to download vintage pictures and use them in junk journals. I usually just print them a quality paper (not photo paper). It just seems that I never get close to the color on see on the screen to what is actually printed.

If you don't need to print large photos, I love the Canon Selphy. Takes about a minute to print your photo and it's archive quality, won't fade, etc.
