Challenge Title: Whats White and Read all Over
Hostess: Janelle S (a.k.a. dizzymommie)
Keyword: MIX3
Welcome to the Mix-Ability Challenge! If you are returning here for another challenge or stopping in for the first time Im so glad you came! We like to have fun and take small steps into the world of mixed media. Our goal is to make mixed media, easy, approachable and FUN! We want to convince you that no matter what your style is - you can DO it!
Your projects can be any type cards, scrapbook layouts, art journal projects, 3D pages.
The challenge I have for you today is to use text of any form on white paper as a prominent part of your project and then add RED! To get you started here are a few ideas for text.
A book page (photocopy or online download printed out)
Text/script background stamp
Collection of sentiment stamps
EmbossingFolders
Newspaper/magazine
Type it on your computer and print it out
Old phonebook
Junk mail
A real typewriter (you get 2 mixed media points from me, not that there are any to collect for the challenges, lol)
Then add 3 RED's in any coloring medium. Be creative!
Paint
Watercolor
Re-inker
Chalks
Oil pastels
colored pencils
Mist sprays
Or a combination of any of the above! Mixed Media Stash: While we are still new and getting our stash ready for mixed media we dont always need to add new tools and supplies. Heres a reuse tip: When the kitchen scrubbie has outlived its use in the kitchen, clean it up and give it a second life as an acrylic paint applicator. Youll get a great unexpected texture!
Uploading: Remember the keyword is without spaces.Use a comma between keywords with a space after each comma.
If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping!

A real typewriter - I wish. I'm so bummed I never kept mine - but I'm sure glad I learned touch-typing on them way back when.
I'll be thinking about this at work this morning - love me my book pages!!
3 different reds, yes??
well, I have the ancient typewriter (as in the one my dad learned on in 1930) but I don't think the ribbon is any good anymore....teeheee....so I guess it's book pages for me...off to my happy corner to play since I can't sleep
Plenty of text - Russian, French and whatever the embossing folder is .
I used red H2Os, red distress ink, Rust Perfect Pearls and Russet luster rub-ons. MIX3 Wordy Birdy

I am having so much fun with these challenges! Thanks to all who're putting them together. I used Japanese text in my bg and also typed a sentiment on my DS's manual typewriter....think the ink is about gone! Inspired Work of Art. I wish you could see it IRL, the polished stone looks so much better than it does in my photo!
I have never done this...thank you so much for this challenge. I hope that the black BG is OK...just didn't work with white. Here is my Ideas Take Flight card.

I just caught up on the gallery and you all have outdone the day before with your creativeness! I love all the excitement you are having with mixed media and even out of some comfort zones still loving it!
Five more days until the next challenge, are you ready? I can't wait!

I've made it through another mixed media challenge and they are really stretching my abilities and comfort zone. If I can keep up another 4 or 5 weeks, you all might just make a mixed media person out of me! LOL!
This is so something that I would not have made without being challenged to do so: Thank you roses
