Are you a SU demonstrator?

I am considering becoming a SU demo and had some questions. I would just be doing as a hobbiest - so need to know the start up costs and the minimums. I would like to maybe just host a once a month stamp camp and I'm hoping that'd cover my minimums.

Mainly I've been out of stamping entirely for the last two years (since my divorce) and I'm looking for something that would help me get my mojo back. I used to demo for CTMH several years ago and loved being part of a team and stamping with my team. But I like SU stamps better so I'm thinking of 'switching teams' if I can find a local group that would fulfill that need and if it doesn't break the bank.

If you are looking for a local group, do a search from the Stampin' Up! website for demos near you. Then, send messages to all of them and explore further with those who respond.

The sign up special during Sale-A-Bration is great ($99 for $150+ in merchandise -- through 3/22) and you will have til 6/30 to meet your minimums. (Actually extended to 7/30 as a pending month.)

Being a SU! demo is above all totally fun and rewarding! We are a big family! If you're unable to find someone locally know that there is lots of help here on the demo side of Splitcoast as well as the demo only site Stampin Connection. Dive in, you'll love it!

I'm a demo and I love it! It's really not hard to meet your minimums. In the beginning I had classes and it really helped me 'start up' so to speak. I used the money I earned from my classes to reinvest into buying supplies for my next class.

Give it a try! Now is a great time to sign up. If you're looking for a local group then I suggest (like the others have said) to find someone near you by searching on the demo locater.

I have enjoyed being a demo for almost 10 years, my advice is to go to Stampin' Up!s website and do a demo search in your area. Email or contact all of them and interview them! It sounds like you know exactly what you are wanting in an up-line, with a little preliminary work you will be able to find exactly what you are looking for! One of the things I love about SU is that we can run our business they way that fits our life, some demos are very active with their own business and down lines, while others choose to order themselves to keep their minimums. I have been a demo for years and have never had to make my own minimums. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't have trouble picking out enough stuff to do it I just never had to go that route. Signing up now is a great move, as others have detailed above.

If you want to be part of a team make sure you research and find a demo who is interested in having a team and one that does things with her team. Best of luck to you!

I signed up 10+ years ago with no intention of doing it for a decade! I just wanted to pay for my kit and then go from there. Paid for my kit in the first workshop. I did workshops for several years. Then I moved to Clubs. Now I may be going more to "Classes" as I start another business. I love the flexibility. You really don't have much to lose! Great advice here.
