Default need advice on non-smearing ink pad

I am looking for an ink pad that works with copic markers. They are alcohol and smear the ink I use to stamp. Ive tried the Ranger archival ink and it is supposed to work, it works better than anything else but still smears. Any suggestions?

Memento Tuxedo Black is my favorite.

Lots of people use Memento and swear by it. Personally I used Adirondack dye ink (usually Espresso colour) or Brilliance pigment ink (quick blast with a heat gun if you want to be absolutely sure but I rarely do that and have never had problems with it).

I use either Memento inks (black, london fog, or rich cocoa) or Stampology Onyx. I haven't had any problems with the ink smearing with my Copic markers.

Memento for me too! However, ColorBox slow drying pigment ink with clear embossing powder works excellent also!

Another vote for Memento Tuxedo black. I know GinaK is testing a black ink pad which will work with alcohol markers (Copics). It seems to be a richer dark black than memento.

I'm under the impression that you should not use Stazon or anything with embossing powder with Copics because it reacts with ink/nibs of the markers.

I sometimes get issues with smearing on a high humidity day. Those days I blast my paper with my heat tool. HTH.

Memento is what I use too. Stazon should never be used with copics. It is ok to use clear embossing powder with copics.

Memento in various shades for me. I love Archival inks but they are waterproof and use them when I am using water.

I vote for Memento Tux Black. I've always had good luck with it.

Also you might want to check the Cardstock you're using too. Cause if it's like Stampin' Up! cardstock Which is really smooth and has a protected coating on it. It will smear a lot more.

Just a question here, gals. I have gotten hooked on Versafine Onxy for my images. It is so crisp and clear and I just love how it stamps.

I got the Memento Tuxedo black to use with alcohol markers. I really do not like how it stamps. It looks so faded in comparison to the Versafine. Is this just how it looks, or did I possibly get a pad that was "off" somehow?

I've gone back to using my Versafine, and just try to be sure it has time to dry thoroughly and I color very carefully so it doesn't smear.

My Memento Black is the same... I should have clarified that this is not my favorite black ink, but my first choice for using with Copics. I also love the coverage and crispness of Versafine Onyx, but have never been able to use it with the Copics without it smearing. I almost always use Versafine for stamping my sentiments though! Palette Noir is probably my all-time favorite black ink, but again, can't get it to not smear with the Copics. :(

Gina K is working on a black ink - I think part of it is that it will be a blacker black than memento and Gina K loves alcohol markers so I'm pretty certain her intent is that it will work with them. She released many colors this past month but not the black. Her colors look yummy and rich in her videos so I can't wait for this black (of course this is after I finally found tuxedo black reinkers LOL)
