With the 99.95 you get 23 folders so it would cost you 10.00 for the cuttlebug. They are saying the folders won't be on sale anywhere else.

The folders will probably be for sale in other places, but just not in the same configuration and for not the same price.

Can I find this online? The folders alone are worth it, especially since I think they are all new and some are exclusive.

I laugh whenever a company comes out with a "new" product and bumps up the price. Then it turns out that the only thing new about it is the look.

I have one cuttlebug I use, plus one I've never opened which I got for such a great price. I would love to have the embossing folders they show, but definitely don't need another cuttlebug.

Here is the link Anna Griffin Cuttlebug™ Machine with Embossing Folders - AutoShip at HSN.com at HSN.com

You are right the folders is why my mother brought it. We are going the cuttlebug it to a church group to use since we already have about 4 different machines that do it all.

I broke down & got one with the auto ship. I am in love with the designs on the folders. I need another die cutting machine like a hole in the head, so I plan to sell the machine. I just don't think I'm in love with the gold. It's kind of fun to watch HSN scramble because it sold out before noon. My son paid for half of it as an early birthday gift for me. I love stuff like that because I'll think of him when I use the folders. JIL

Hi everyone, my name is Sharon1964, and it's been one hour since I purchased something for my cuttlebug on ebay. (hangs head in shame) I'm sooooo addicted.

HOWEVER... HOW WAS IT THAT I MISSED THIS BEFORE THEY SOLD OUT??? Sigh.

Here is the description of auto ship from the HSN site
AutoShip is a simple and convenient way to make sure you never run out of your favorite products. When you select our AutoShip program, we will automatically send and bill you for a new shipment on a regularly scheduled basis or one you customize to fit your needs.

Future orders will automatically be shipped every 30, 60, 90 or 120 days as chosen or on a delivery schedule which meets your own personal needs. Some items have a pre-set delivery schedule.

So, if you did the auto ship for the cuttlebug and folders they would send you the cuttlebug and a few folders first. Then every couple of weeks they will send you a new bunch until you have them all. Sometimes you get items that they aren't going to sell in the stores.

Loretta, I shop frequently at HSN, and you gave a good descriiption of the Auto Ship program.

However, in this particular case, if you did NOT choose Auto Ship, just the one-time-only, your original shipment will include the Cuttlebug and ALL the 23 folders shown in the demo.

If you chose the Auto Ship version, you get the Cuttlebug and 23 folders in your first shipment, and then the future Auto Shipments will be additional NEW folders, a whole set of folders only. There will be 4 shipments of folders throughout the year. I've forgotten how many folders will be in each set. They said there will even be Christmas folders in one of the later shipments.

To Loretta: it looks like if you and your mom got the Auto Ship, you will end up getting about a total of about 100 folders when all the auto shipments of folders come throughout the year!

Of course, each auto ship will have a charge, but still a good deal for all those folders.

Wow thanks for the update ladiers, you can tell I don't do all the HSN crafting ordering in the house. My mother lives with me and she mainly keeps up on the new stuff and buys it. I just play with it when it gets to the house ohh and split the costs. When she moved in two years ago we put all our stamping stuff together in the basement so we have a nice stash. I love being able to go down in our basement and pick everything I want on the card. lolol I'm still not able to get into the copics's like she does - I won't say how many we have of those makers but she is retired so that makes it nice for her.

hope you guys are having a good week

It sounds like you two have a great time together crafting! Do you already have a Cuttlebug, or is this new to you? If you've never used one - you are in for a real treat. I love mine and use it constantly.

I will tell you, if you don't already own a Cuttlebug, you do need an additional plate in order to cut dies with it. The newer models only come with 2 "B" plates for embossing. In order to cut dies, you need to have a "C" plate, which is a little thicker than the "B". The sandwich for die cutting is to use one "B" plate, your die and paper, and a "C" plate.

You can order the "C" plate online, and sometimes they have it in stock at Joanns, Hobby Lobby or Michaels store.

Just didn't want you to be disappointed if the machine arrives and you don't have the "C" plate to use with die cuts.

Have fun!

They kept saying during the presentation that the folders would not be available anywhere else. That they were exclusive to HSN. But of course, that could change down the line.

As far as getting the autoship just for the folders, I don't know about that. I would think not, because they were also a part of the Today's Special deal for the Cuttlebug.

I used my xmas & birthday money & splurged. My bug came today - I was surprised with the quick shipping. OMG - the folders included with the bug are incredible! While they displayed each of the folders for the autoship option, they really didn't show all the folders that were a part of the today's special value deal all that well. Some of them are new Provocraft Cuttlebug ones & they are a big yawn. But the Anna Griffin ones are absolutely beautiful! I haven't seen any like them by any manufacturer. The gorgeous bird, the deep flourishes that match her papers & fabric, and the 2 roses (all with a coordinating border folder) are breathtaking. They are definite keepers. I love the rest, but am not sure if I will keep or sell them as I don't have a lot of people I make cards for who are as in love with the Anna Griffin style as I am.

I got my order today & have everything tested out. The Anna Griffin folders are the prettiest folders I have. I am really impressed with the impressions they have. I was also happy with the borders. I numbered them so that I can easily decide which borders are supposed to go with what folder. I have a huge collection of her stamps & have loved them for years. The folders are completely worth it. I signed up for auto ship & can hardly wait to get the other folders. They all seem like they will fit with my style. I was sure them bug itself would be a shiney gold & I was really happy it'[s a matte gold. Now I need to decide if I want to keep the green or gold one. I thought it was strange that they stopped shipping the C plate witht he bug. I don't use my C plate with my dies because it cuts too much & my spellbinder dies would get caught in the plate. I still would like the c plate just in case I need it. I guess I can use shims. I am really happy I decided to get this offer. I've been watching the craft days on HSN for years & never ordered anything. A few times Ie kicked myself for not getting the specials. I won't have to do that this time. JIL

I am so glad you are pleased with your order. I wish that I could have ordered one, however I have two bugs already and did not need a third. You can order a C plate if you want one. I've gotten mine from JoAnn's and I believe Michaels sells them as well.

Hi ladies you guys are way ahead of me. The box came and my mother was going crazy about the folders but I still need to check them out. We have so many different machines we are going to give this one away to my cousin who just started scrapbooking. Well, that is if my mother doesn't change her mind.

I got mine today! And everyone is right, the folders are gorgeous! I also think the folders alone were worth the wait and the money.

btw, I honestly like the compact design of the Cuddlebug so much more than the Big Shot, the CB is not much bigger than my Texture Boutique so I'll more than likely give my TB to my cousin.

I picked up a C plate and SB die to play with it so I'm off to watch some tutorials now (I think I have everything I need?)

I am by no means an expert on HSN, I've only placed three orders with them. I am pretty sure that the autoship option is only available when you are ordering the first item they show. So, for this item, you order the cuttlebug & the 23 folders & sign up for autoship when you place this order to get the additional folders. They said you can only get autoship that way. So, if you didn't order the cuttlebug package, you can't go back to order autoship. They also said that if you decide that you don't want autoship after you've added it to your first order, you can cancel it at any point. You can manage it all in your profile.

I also noticed that they said the folders are exclusive to HSN. They didn't say that they won't offer them again, or as a stand alone product so that can still happen. Usually if a product is at HSN but will be in the big box stores later, they will say you won't be able to get them in the stores for a while or as a set. A good example of this is the circle punch thingy from Martha Stewart. It was exclusive to HSN for a set amount of time & then you can get it other places.

I have been using my folders & I am in love with them. Did you all notice that these folders have a hinge at the top with a slit in it? It's all part of the regular folders, but way better than haing to cut that yourself. I hope sizzix starts doing that with their folders.

Lee Ann,

Yes, you will get more folders in the future, and be charged automatically for them when they are sent, on whatever payment method you used, i.e. credit card, etc.

When they offer something for sale, it is usually just that item you are seeing and ordering. But sometimes they offer that item (the Griffin Cuttlebug and folders) and then a optional autoship on the other items (more folders). If you sign up for the autoship option, you get the original deal, and then in future months, you get the other stuff, and pay for it when they ship it.

With the Anna Griffin Cuttlebug package, you could choose either way - just the first deal, with the machine and the 23 folders. Or the autoship, with the machine and folders, and then the additional folders in future shipments.

You cannot sign up for autoship after the item has aired, but you always have the option to cancel the remaining autoshipments after you get your original order. Clear as mud?

Here is a link to the FAQ page on the HSN site that tells about the autoship option. Also, they have a good customer service line you can call if you have any questions. I have shopped at HSN a bunch, and they really do try to make their customers happy.

Autoship is discussed in Question #29, on page 3 of the FAQ.

Hope this helps - and glad you love your folders.

Oh I hope the folders become available for sale at 'normal' stores. They're so pretty I could cry.

That would be nice for all those who didn't get the chance to purchase them.

The one thing HSN would have to be careful about is upsetting all the people who went ahead and bought the whole configuration just to get the folders. People even mentioned here they would get rid of their other Cuttlebug because they didn't two. Now if HSN offered just the folders, you'd have all those other customers who paid more, thinking they were getting something that wouldn't be offered elsewhere - the "get it while you can" pitch. Then to come back and undersell the deal, would undermine HSN's credibility, I would think. People would start to wonder, why buy now if they'll offer it again without....

I had to get these because HSN said they would NOT be available anywhere else, with or without the machine, separately or in the whole group. Found out today that was NOT true...the folders are being sold elsewhere individually. Irritation...

They're being sold on Cricut.com, got an email about it. I too feel mislead that it was an exclusive to HSN. I needed another Cuttlebug like a hole in the head!!! Hopefully the money we'll save on the autoships will be worth it. I'll try to sell one of the extras I have.

Hi,
I bought it all even though I have the green Cuttlebug. I wanted the new, exclusive folders and I did the auto ship also. I also bought the storage box Anna Griffin designed to hold all the folders and extra sleeves for the quarterly shipment. The storage box and plastic folders designed to hold the large and coordinating strip folder is WELL WORTH IT-great construction and Anna's classy look. I might just sell my green cuttlebug on Ebay-they go well. Or, I might donate it to a school.
