Hi Sue! I haven't had any problems with my masks sticking, but I have a couple of tricks I use to remove any stuck on things from paper. Put the paper in the freezer for a while or (what I usually do, 'cause I'm impatient) blow hot air between the layers as they are peeled apart. I've even used my heat tool briefly to warm one side so the adhesive lets go.
If your mask medium is just too sticky, maybe it needs to be stuck on your hand first before paper, just to remove a little of the tackiness.

Sorry I haven't used Inkadinkado's paper but I've successfully used painter's tape to mask off areas for sponging. So if you've one it's a cheap solution.
Sue, I have this problem too! Others use it with no problem, but I sure can't! I tried to make it less sticky by daubing it on my clothes, but it still tore my paper! So discouraging!
I bought this but haven't used it yet. I hope I don't have any problems. I'll post when I've gotten a chance to try it out - probably when I make my Valentine's Day cards.
Wow! Thanks for all of the replies. Glad to know I'm not the only one with the problem (not because I'm glad other people are having problems - but because I'm glad I'm not the one who's defective!)
I watched the tutorial, and she was using it as a mask for a specific image. I was trying to use it to mask an entire strip of of cardstock for sponging. My cardstock was tearing right at the edge of the paper when I tried removing the mask. So maybe I need to stick with this product to mask images and not huge areas.

I've never thought about real masking tape. Duh! Thanks for the tip!
If you have a chance to buy Eclipse masking tape I think you will be very happy with the results. For awhile they stopped manufacturing the tape/film, but I think they are making it again now. It works great to mask individual items, or larger areas. It pulls off easily and is reusable. It comes on a roll that is 30 feet long and so it lasts a very long time. After I make a mask I store it with the stamp set and I use it many times before it needs to be replaced. HTH
The only masking tape I've used is Eclipse and I purchased it at Judikins. It works perfectly. When I cut my masks, I keep them with the stamp set so I don't have to recut them when I want to use them again and have had no problems with them remaining tacky. The roll I purchased has lasted me forever and I certainly would buy it again based on quality of product.
So I'm dittos to annie's comments above....LOL
