I'm a little late doing this... lurked for a long time, signed up almost a year ago, but I guess I wasn't quite ready to commit. I finally decided that I'm never going to feel like I fit in unless I really jump in with two feet... so I've added a real photo and uploaded a couple cards, and now I'm ready to say hello.
I'm a bashful forty-something, living in the "dead" center of Ohio with my wonderful hubby and four felines. I used to drive myself crazy with too many hobbies and not enough time, until I decided to focus on card-making, and make it my one passion. I'm much happier creatively, but I sort of lost my Internet "home", and am hoping to find a new one here, with all of these wonderfully talented stampers!
Thanks for all the inspiration y'all have already given me, and all the wonderful tips I've already picked up from lurking! Hopefully I'll be able to contribute something in return.

Hi Kitty! Lurking is totally fine! I don't even call it lurking, I call it window shopping
I hope this is your home home too! I am off to check out your gallery! If you ever need anything at all on the site, please let me know. And ask questions - everyone is very helpful.
Welcome Kitty! I'm in agreement with the ladies above. Although I'm mostly a scrapper now, back in 2005, I started out card making and this site drew me in. I'm still here, just hang out more in the scrapping threads nowadays. No matter what your fav form of crafting is, everyone here is helpful and friendly and, you're right, the best way to fit in is to jump on the band wagon! If you've been "window shopping" for a year, then you already know what an amazing resource this site is. It even gets BETTER, the more you use it. Everyone loves getting comments on their creations, so I consider it give and take. I try to post a comment on cards I like and always try to reciprocate with a comment or two for anyone who comments on my gallery!
Hi Kitty and welcome from New Zealand! No need to be bashful here as we love newbies and are keen to make them feel at home. I lived in Ohio for a year about 20 years ago, in Cincinnati. I still miss Skyline Chilli!

Wendy, I'm definitely going to try and contribute, and I like your policy of reciprocating on gallery posts.
Stephanie, I lived in Cincinnati for a couple of years before ending up in the middle of the state. (Actually, it was about 20 years ago, too!) And I was totally hooked on Skyline - good stuff! (I don't eat meat anymore, or I'd still be hooked.)

Thank you so much. It's a picture/card drawn by my then 6 year old granddaughter, who is now 13! If you look close, you can see my grandma name, "Bugga" on it.

I knew something that cute had to be drawn by someone special.
