Default Happy Whale Clearlits die

Anyone else having troube aligning this die with the stamped image? It looks right, and should be easy, but always comes out wonky, with an uneven white edge, and often cuts across the image - no matter how careful I am.

Heeeelp!

Have you tried putting a sticky note on it to hold it in place while you run it through your machine? Just a thought...

Hi

Yes, I tried that, and it didn't make much difference.

Try stamping after you cut it out. I know this is the opposite of what I normally do but I had to do this with the fall leaves die. It worked out much better for me.

Smile alternate whale

I could not get the die to cut my stamped image without uneven white borders too. So instead I used patterned paper to cut the whales. Chose small print and found that it looked just as good. Also put a googly eyeball to give it some personality.
