Default Saving scans of Nesties to use for measuring digi stamps

This no doubt is a dumb question, but I am not a computer techie

I want to scan my Nesties so I can use them to adjust the size of digi stamps or cut files so they fit inside the Nestie shape.

Where and how should I save the scans so they are sort of transparent so I can see if the digi stamp or cut file will fit inside of the Nestie shape?

I think I need to be able to drag the digi or the nestie over the other to see if it will fit

Then I will either print the digi image or cut the file image and use my CuttleBug and a Nestie to cut and frame it

Does this make sense ?

Thanks

Barbara Jay

Barbara Jay if you want to make your image transparent. Here's a good starter Google search term- paint shop pro how to make an image transparent. I used paint shop pro because it came off the the top of my head. Instead of using paint shop pro just substitute it for your graphics program such as photoshop how to make an image transparent. A lot of times it helps to write the version too like photoshop X4 how to make an image transparent.

Here's an example search I did using Google Images- https://www.google.com/search?q=pain...OZOQ8wTDuIDADA

I hope that wasn't confusing.

You will want to save your image as a PNG to make a nice transparent background. Most digi stamps are PNG.

I have a Mac and there is no Paint-shop Pro for a Mac.
But I have PSE and the best of intentions to learn to use it ;)
