Techniques with aluminum foil?

I know there are techniques with wax paper, but what about aluminum foil--anything?

What Lydia said. You can also then colour it with alcohol inks (I guess Copic refills would work too), or permanent inks like Stazon are good for adding a bit of colour. It's great for masculine cards! We did it as a TLC a few years back; here's a link to the gallery for some inspiration for you .

As Sabrina says, it's fun coloured with alcohol inks or markers (I've attached a pic of a card I made some years ago for a "use foil" challenge!).

You can lay it over die cut shapes or lettering and burnish round the raised shape for a relief metal look. The attached example was actually done with foil tape but a strip of regular foil would do the same thing.

Lay a design of hot glue on cardstock or chipboard and burnish foil over it. Color as desired.

Do you glue the foil to a piece of card stock before layering to keep it from getting scrunched up or flattened out? Maybe that's a dumb question or I'm over thinking this 8~).TIA

I suppose you could adhere it to card stock with a Xyron, but I use heavy duty foil, so it does well on its own. HTH

I do - I'm using lightweight kitchen foil.
Well, I don't actually glue it. I cut my piece of card to size, and the foil slightly larger so that I can fold it over the card, and I just tape it at the back. I'd be worried about the edges tearing or snagging if I just had it stuck on top of a piece of card.

I use cheap "heavy duty" foil, three layers, it holds the design beautifully!
