Default Rainbow bridge

Hi I am new to cards and this site. I am the sunshine person for our dog club and send cards for all occasions like show wins, puppies and condolences. Some of you might know that "Going over the Rainbow Bridge" is an expression used when a pet dies. I have been trying to figure out how to make rainbows for my cards without having to color them. Probably about 3 inches wide. Is there a sizzlet for that or those stacking cutouts. Sorry cannot think what they are called.Maybe have to make those nesting circles and cut them in half. I do not like the clouds on the bottom that some dies have. Thanks a bunch, Arlee

Here's some other ideas to make rainbows without having to color them:

Use a border punch to make cardstock stripes: Crafts-Handmade Cards / Rainbow Card Idea - Made With Martha Stewart Doily Lace Edge Punch.

Use stamps or punches to create a clean and simple display of colors: Wiggy's World: Cute Buttons....any color you like!!
or
Woodsy Owl's Whimsical World: Rainbow of Hearts
or
A Rainbow of Beautiful Wings - Muse My World

Papertrey Ink makes a nice pet sympathy stamp: https://www.papertreyink.com/stamps/...ini-stamp-set/

Just ordered the sympathy stamps from Papertrey and die from Die-namics. Thanks for the suggestions.
This is a great site!!! Now if I could figure out a way to get the embossing powder to slide off the tray into the jar. I have tried rubbing it with dryer sheets. Friend has a bag she rubs things with but have not found it. Doesn't work that well. Thank you so much.

My embossing powder tray came with a little brush that works really well. A paintbrush should work to get the powder moving and out of the tray corners.

I've used a rainbow ink pad and a brayer to make a rainbow on glossy cardstock. Rubber Hedgehog also has this stamp, used on a card I made years ago: Pet sympathy card by stamper1996 - Cards and Paper Crafts at Splitcoaststampers

SU has a set (So Sorry) that includes loss of pet as a sentiment, too.

ETA - get the sandwich sized plastic containers (like the ziplock ones or from the $1 store) and store your EP in those. You don't have to get it back into a jar, colors don't get mixed and there is no mess.

To be honest I wouldn't use a tray because the static from the plastic always clings to embossing powder - I tend to use a bit a scrap paper but I know of people that use coffee filters for their excess and then just funnel it back into the container.

Like RiverIsis, I just use a piece of copy paper. Some people fold it half first, then flatten it back out. Put the piece that you are going to tip embossing powder on top of this. Tip your powder onto the image, then lift the image & tap of excess powder onto the copy paper. Put your image to one side, lift up the copy paper & the powder will slide to the channel you created by folding it. Then simply tilt the paper so the powder runs back into the jar. I also think this method lets less powder escape onto your desk, lol.

Default embossing powder

Good idea. I think I will just get a roll of wax paper and see if that work. Cheaper to throw away.

Do you know who carries those little bags that you rub on your card so the powder or glitter does not stick to it. And what are they called? Thanks, Arlee

It is an Anti-static bag/pad - called Embossing Buddy by SU, Called Embossing Magic by Inkadinkado,

I got the Recollections version with a coupon at Michael's. HTH.

If you want to keep it cheap you can make your own - Embossing Buddy Substitute by gotthebug818 at Splitcoaststampers
