I'm' not sure it was a stamp. Maybe some way of DTP or using a brush?

I have a stamp (no name on it) very similar to this but it is not a background stamp. Mine is an individual/single image stamp. My thought is the stamper who made this beauty, stamped the image three times in different coloured inks. I wish I could be of more help, but it might be easier to find as a single stamp rather than a background. Have you looked at Hero Arts at all? They have have some texture stamps and some come in smaller sets of four images. Have you tried to contact the stamper who made the card and ask for the name of the stamp? HTH, good luck!

You could private message the stamper and ask her.

My guess from looking at it was that the maker has used the wide, chisel end of a marker and just freehand drawn the lines in a loose block. It really didn't look like a stamp. Then I read the write up beneath it & she says it is a block stamp, but doesn't know the name of it. I came across a few stamps like that in my stuff while sorting out this week- absolutely nothing on the wood mount to identify it, or it was so worn away, I couldn't make sense of it. I think the chisel tip marker might be the best way to mimic this. One other suggestion, you could create your own similar stamp. There is a thread here , about a foam block that would allow you to do this. I put a link there to where the foam is available. HTH.

I have a very old set of background stamps (not big ones, all about 2") from Posh Impressions that has a stamp like this one. Not much help but I'm sure there are many similar stamps out there.

When I first started stamping about 5 yrs ago, I bought a set of 'Contemporary Color Blocks' by Rubber Stampede. The wood mounted stamps are approx 1 3/4" by 1 3/4". One is a screen/mesh, one a trapezoid, one tiny dots and one that looks very similar to the one use in your sample. Don't know anything about this company other than it was in Whittier, CA. There is a website listed: www.rubberstampede.com. I probably bought the set at Michael's/JoAnn.

In the details it says "unknown block stamp" so perhaps someone will recognize it. Love the effect it gives to the card.

Rubber Stampede is available at Joanns, Michaels, and Hobby Lobby. They are marketed through Delta Creative. You'd recognize many of their stamps.

Unfortunately DC doesn't have many of the RS designs in their catalog.

I think this is the set that Crafter 4 Life is referring to:

okay! think i've figured it out! there are Two different stamps i've been looking at. one is the hero arts one on the card i linked to - and ANOTHER, used on one of biggan's fab cards. same style of card, different stamp. so everyone is correct, one hero arts, the other what looks like the rubber stampede one ---now which one do i buy!
