Hello Ladies- you guys have been chatting since Thursday Evening. I left for my SIS's funeral with 2 of my sisters and a brother-in law at 5:30AM on Friday. Our drive to Chicago was stressful. It was snowing and blowing. We saw many cars/trucks in the ditch. It took us until 3PM to arrive. we did stop three times. My brother in law needed to stop and move around. Instead of staying with my brother who had pneumonia we stayed at a Holiday in in Naples, IL. We went to the wake on Friday evening. Saturday was the funeral. It was a 10 AM. The cemetery was a 50 minute drive away from the church. My nephew is on the SWAT team with the IL Hiway Patrol. So we had quite an escort with 6 SUV's driven by off duty officers blocking all the intersections. It was interesting to watch the vehicles zip past in the right hand lane and hop scotch to the next. The procession was never interrupted. As I was leaving the luncheon. I decided to fall front first on the cobblestone walkway. Needless to say my knees, elbows and hand are bruised and painful. It was very embarrassing. The drove home was uneventful. The drive only took 6 1/2 hours. Everyone down there was sick, coughing, sneezing, etc. So guess who is doing that today?
