2013 Spring Mini - no umbrella die?

Too bad SU didn't release an umbrella die to go with the new Rain or Shine stamp set in the Spring Mini. The few cards I've seen using the set have had the umbrella cut out by hand. An umbrella is a classic image that can be used over and over again without going out of style. It's what I call a "work horse stamp" and a matching die would have been fantastic.

I also wish they had done a punch or die for the hexagon shape in the honeycomb embossing folder.

I agree on both above posts! All the dies they are coming out with I was really surprised there was no umbrella die. Disappointed too!

I was surprised by that too. I'm getting the hexagon embossing folder and then making a hexagon template to trace, it's all straight cuts. Maybe these punches or dies will show up later.

For some reason I am really drawn to umbrella stamps! A die would have been great!

Well, since Papillon Potpourri had only the one punch for the larger butterfly when it first came out, and the punch for the smaller butterfly is coming out soon (is that a sneak peek???)...I'm guessing that the hexagon punch will be in the big catty. They could do the same thing with the die.

Maybe they wait for punch/die decisions until they see if the embossing folder/stamp set have enough interest.

Yep. A budget-breaker for sure! I have a LONG list from the spring catty!

I am more of a fall person. I like fall colors more. But not this time!!!! I am LOVING it all. Today is the first day I am going to get to play with all of my preorder....and I am excited!!!!

Many of my Demo friends think they will both be in the new big catty in 2013. I don't know why they didn't release them now. Perhaps a production problem? Most of their products are made overseas and that sometimes presents a problem.

I was surprised too. I really like that set, but decided not to get it because there was no die.

SU's lack of matching dies is another reason I have been buying from other company's like MFT...I like to have things that go together for a total package...
