Has anyone else had an issue with the new SU! Foam ink pad Basic black ink? I just stamped 50 moving cards on Papertrey white cardstock and the black ink I stamped for the change of address side of my postcards has smeared and marked up over half of the front side of the cards as I was stamping each element assembly line style. I am absolutely dismayed by this. Never ever have I had ink smear like this or transfer onto cardstock when stacked, except craft ink. This was not craft ink. If I rub my finger over the black ink it smears. I stamped this part of the postcards 3-4 days ago.
Has anyone else had issues with basic black in the new inks or any of the new inks? I don't think it is the cardstock as I usually use PTI white.
It's horrible and inexcusible for a company like SU to do this to us. I know you are frustrated right now with all the work you have just done and it smeared. Sorry.
Su has been working with the problem of the Basic Black smearing ever since they changed to the new foam pads. I tell my customers not to by it. I would indeed call your Demo, tell her what is going on & get a refund on it or choose another color to replace it. I am so sorry you went to all the trouble you did just to have it alll messed up, very discouraging. I would by momemto Black ink pad.
Other companies black inks don't have such a smearing issue, wonder what the culprit is? I've never had a SU black pad, my first demo told me not to bother with it back when it was stamping a dark purple color! They ought to just pull it until the problem gets resolved, they've done that with other items.

Some of us as demos have tried & tried to get SU to take the Basic black off the market until they get the problem fixed, no go with them. They say some of them work,LOL. I as a demo have advised my workshop group not to buy the new Black & I willl not buy it either. I have to use other companies Black & I hate to have to do this, but this is my only solution. Most of my gals cannot stand the smell of Stazon so that is out the window also.
